sabheader.jpg

Sale-a-Bration 2020 is is FULL SWING and today I’m sharing a few projects made with the coolest Kats: The Gang’s All Meer stamp set was the first stamp set I chose for free with my initial S-A-B order! meer.jpg

Yesterday I demonstrated this card on my Lunchtime Crafting Live that happens each Monday on my Creative Juice Facebook Page:

Isn’t that adorable? And it’s super simple to make.

I though it would also be fun to make a gift pouch from the Stampin’ Up! Pillow Boxes with these cute kats:

IMG_4069-(W)

It’s the right size for a gift card and candy bar, or jewelry and other small gifts!

The Gang’s All Meer stamp set is only available during Sale-a-Bration 2020 and is FREE with a $50 purchase from my Stampin’ Store. There are many options for S-A-B rewards in addition to this stamp set, and remember that they are while supplies last, or until March 31, 2020! It’s the perfect time to stock up on your stamping supplies.

More Love to Mail

But wait! There’s MORE! Yesterday I shared a Pink/Red/White card (or Flirty Flamingo, Real Red and Whisper White), but if you haven’t had time to watch my Lunchtime Live Crafting Videos on Facebook each Monday, you may have missed some of the other Valentine themed projects I’ve been creating from the From My Heart Suite by Stampin’ Up!~ so I thought I’d share some here.

IMG_4399-(W)

If you have a hard time choosing which side of your Designer Series Paper to use on a card, make THESE CARDS instead, because you don’t have to choose! You can see one side on the front of the card and enjoy the other side of the DSP on the inside of the card! IMG_4398-(W)

They are simple enough to make with elementary students, too!

A few weeks ago, I demonstrated a few ideas for a party or small gift and made this fun tin with the same suite stuff:IMG_4385-(W)

One thing I really appreciate is that if you LOVE all these coordinating products, Stampin’ Up! has made it very easy to get them all (with a bit of a discount) with just one item from my Stampin’ Store! Of course, you can still pick and choose the products you like best (or order more of the things you LOVE).

Thanks for stopping by and may all the love you send come back to you!

Heartfelt for Valentine’s Day

Are you ready to spread some love? That was my first thought when I saw the Global Design Project Color Challenge, since those colors just happened to be out on my desk anyway:

This is the card that was born:

IMG_4392-(W)

You may notice an image that isn’t in the Heartfelt stamp set (the heart outline that says “with love”)…that was from the January “I’ll Bee Yours” Paper Pumpkin kit and coordinates with the Heart Punch Bundle, and it felt perfect for the project:IMG_4394-(W)

If you are planning to shoot a few Valentine cards off, you need to get your supplies ordered soon! IMG_4401

A Beautiful Difference

It only takes one person to make a difference in your life for the better: A mother, a teacher, a friend…any of them could touch you in a way that changes your course in a beautiful way.

246

The sentiment on the card I created today for the #TGIFC246 Sketch Challenge could be perfect for anyone who has helped you in your life while they are here are when they are gone:

IMG_4310-(W)

The meaning changes with what you add on the inside of the card: Happy Birthday, With Sympathy, Happy Mother’s Day.

Whatever you want to say, this card is a simple way to express your feelings.

Poppies in Berries

Feeling “berry” pleased to share one of my favorite suites from the new Mini Catalog with you today as I participate in the #tgifc245 color challenge: 245

Truly, I vowed not to buy any more floral stamps when the January-June Mini Catalog was about to be unveiled…and then my willpower flew out the window when I saw the Peaceful Poppies Suite:CM101025B

Yesterday I demonstrated the “spotlighting” technique on my Facebook page during my Monday Lunchtime LIVE Crafting with a different card, but carried the idea into the color challenge today: IMG_4273-(W)

HOW TO:

  1. Cut two pieces of Very Vanilla card stock, 5″ x 3-3/4″ and 2-1/2″ x 3-5/8″. Layer the smaller one on top of the larger one with a bit of adhesive in the middle to hold together just while stamping the outline images of the poppies using the Rich Razzleberry ink pad.
  2. Remove the smaller layer and color with Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends, then layer together on the card with the largest scalloped die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies.
  3. Emboss your sentiment on a strip of Blackberry card stock for the top and add a few of the coordinating sequins.

It’s really easier than it looks!

I’ll be back with more poppy-inspired crafts soon, meanwhile, I hope you’ll get your fingers inky, too!

What’s New: Toile Tidings for Christmas

Whats new (2)

This creative group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the globe are back to showcase CHRISTMAS creations and we appreciate you hopping along with us!

A gorgeous crimson cardinal along with the pastoral print of a countryside Christmas combine to make this card a keepsake:

IMG_3732-(W)

It’s really a lovely combination when layered on a Soft Seafoam card base, isn’t it? Stampin’ Up! really provides the best coordinating products to help take the guesswork out of your crafting. I used the Toile Christmas stamp set and Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper, along with the Stitched Nested Label Dies to provide a background for the bird.

To color the cardinal, I simply used the Watercolor Pencils (White and Daffodil Delight) to color the bird after stamping it in black ink. No need to add water, just start coloring lightly and layering the color.

IMG_3733-(W)

It’s a simple card to create, and conveys a beautiful wish for a holiday of happiness!

A Watercolor Rose For Christmas

I’ve been looking for an excuse to try watercoloring on darker paper, and the Global Design Project color challenge #GDP213 gave me the perfect reason to pull out the Aqua Painters!

stampin25272bup25212bcolor2binspiration2b-2bold2bolive252c2blovely2blipstick252c2bsmoky2bslate

This is also a sneak peek at a NEW product suite coming on November 1st and I’m using the “Christmas Rose” stamp set from that breathtaking collection:

IMG_3574-(W)

It looks sumptuous, doesn’t it? But it was surprisingly simple! I embossed the outline image on the top and bottom of the Smoky Slate card stock in white, then did a quick watercolor wash with an Aqua Painter and a few drops of Whisper White ink over the places I wanted to color. Once that dried, I picked up the colors with my cleaned Aqua Painter and started to add the color.

IMG_3575-(W)

The embossed image helps keep the ink in place and the colors just POPPED off the paper! I practically broke my arm patting myself on the back, it turned out soooo pretty!

After multiple ribbon variations, I settled on a flat “mailing” bow to finish it off, and dressed up the inside of the card like this:

IMG_3576-(W)

This is also going to be one of the cards we make at my Christmas Card Class on November 9th in Spanish Fork, UT:  if you register for the class, you’ll find out how easy it really is!

Pink for October

Updated 10/29/19: Marni Maxwell is the winner of the giveaway! Hurrah!

The most frightening things in life aren’t monsters, witches and goblins. The scariest things are more personal and realistic, like loneliness, human cruelty and illness that can lead to loss of life. If you or someone you love is/has gone through cancer, you know how truly scary that can be.

Let’s pause the Halloween parade for a moment and find a way to give support to those who are struggling with cancer. Sometimes we don’t know what to say or do when a friend is going through illness: a card can be a tangible reminder that you are loving and praying for them always.

IMG_3440-(W) 2

While I made this Tri-fold card pink for Breast Cancer awareness, you could easily change the colors to support the challenge you are consoling. IMG_3441-(W) 2

It opens twice, with plenty of space to write your message.IMG_3442-(W) 2

The internet is good for some things: When I was looking for what to write to someone with cancer, I found this article (from the cancer.livebetterwith website) had the best advice. Here’s a tidbit from Alison & Brian, who were interviewed for ideas:

” ‘Anecdotes of everyday life connect the reader back with the real world’ – and this can be a pleasant change for people who are spending lots of time at home in bed, or traveling to and from the hospital… Even small observations can really help to draw your reader out of their day-to-day routine and give them pause to think and reflect.”

Download card tutorial here

Let’s make someone’s day: If you have a friend going through Breast Cancer now (October 2019), please leave a comment and tell me why they are special to you. I’ll draw a winner at random for the Support Ribbon Framelit Dies (for you to keep and make this card) and a lovely Breast Cancer Crusade Ribbon bracelet (for you to give to your friend)!

IMG_3461.jpg

Winner will be drawn on October 28th.

What’s New at SU!- Harvest Hellos

Whats new (2)

Falling leaves, pumpkin spice, cool weather, apple cider and a Fall-Themed Blog Hop with Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the globe who love sharing ideas with you: Does it get better than this?

I’m using the Harvest Hellos bundle from the 2019 Holiday Catalog today, with a twist on traditional Halloween colors: I like the CUTE part of the holiday, so Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather and Calypso Coral comprise my basic color palette:

IMG_2948-(W)

Betcha can’t look at that pumpkin without smiling!

If you think all white card stock is the same, you haven’t tried our ULTRASMOOTH card stock!! I stamped the pumpkin on that amazing Whisper White card stock in Calypso Coral ink, then used a blender pen to add more of the ink to color him in.

IMG_2942-(W)The Stitched Rectangle Dies make the layers on this card in a snap, add a little vinery by way of the Sprig Punch, and you’ve got a pumpkin patch!

I love it when you say “Hi” and leave me a comment, then hop on over to Diane’s blog for another happy fall project or back to Judi’s Country Home project page:
