I pulled out the Big Shot to make this card to showcase the Rich Razzleberry In-Color: the flowers are created using the Manhattan Impressions Folder. These flowers definitely make a great “impression”! The grosgrain ribbon is actually polka-dotted on one side this year, but I felt like the elegance of the flowers needed just the plain side of the ribbon. Add a saying from the Sincere Salutations set and it is simply beautiful.
I wish I could send out a card to everyone who has been supportive and loving recently…for now, enjoy the “virtual” card and my deep gratitude. Friends are truly the flowers in the garden of life!

Spotlight on NEW In-Colors: DUSTY DURANGO
Being a girl originally from Dixie and with the rich sandstone dirt of my home firmly stuck between my toes, I always need a little of this color in my life. I painted my basement family room this color as an homage to “home” and all the kids know that I’d love a car in this same hue. I’d call it “Rusty Pumpkin”, but Stampin’ Up! has named it DUSTY DURANGO and it’s one of the new ’09-’10 In Colors! This card was created with the new Animal Stories set…isn’t that an adorable giraffe?
I’m planning on posting a mono-chromatic card each day this week showcasing our new In-Color line, so come on back to visit!
Toodle-oo, Doodle This
There is only ONE WEEK left to order the retiring stamp sets, and here are a few samples from another versatile retiring set, Doodle This. To add the all-over-sparkle on this card (and the one from the Heartfelt Thanks set I shared last week), simply stamp your image and color it in, then lay your card stock face down onto a Versamark Pad, covering the whole area. Add Iridescent Ice embossing powder to cover, shake off the excess and heat.
And this technique is called “Crayon Resist”: Use Stampin’ Up! glossy white paper, stamp images in black ink and let dry. Next, use a white crayon and “doodle” anywhere you want white to appear. Finally, sponge classic ink over the images with a sponge or sponge dauber, then wipe card with a tissue for the white to POP OUT:

Adieu and Au Revoir
Here’s a final backward glance at the Happy Heart Day stamp set that will also be retired at the end of June…
Don’t worry, little elephant, I will never forget how you made me smile!
A Fond Farewell…
…to one of my favorite stamp sets, Heartfelt Thanks:
It has been a staple for many of my favorite cards, so soft and subtle:
It is one of the stamp sets that will be retired at the end of June, so if you need to add it to your collection, order it soon before it’s gone forever.
Tune in tomorrow for another farewell and a look at one of the cards you could make at my upcoming Stamp-a-Stack class!
Designer Series Paper Inspiration
If working with patterned paper has you stumped, here is a little inspiration~and through May, when you buy 3 Designer Series Paper, you get 1 FREE!
Here is a scrapbook layout using the “Good Morning Sunshine” Designer Series Paper (DSP):
We had been to the Aviary, so I *had* to use the chipboard owl, and I colored him with a Chocolate Chip Craft pad. Recipe: Good Morning Sunshine DSP, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Pacific Point and Summer Sun cardstock and ink, On Board So Tweet, Kiwi striped grosgrain ribbon, Perfect Day rub-ons, “Hooray” Designer Hardware, Big Shot & Billboard strip die.
AND don’t miss the Featured Project video on my Stampin’ Up! website: Scrapbooking with Designer Series Paper!!!
Next is an idea I copied from Kristina Werner’s blog (sorry, I can’t find the exact date) but I love the simplicity and it’s a terrific idea to use up all those little scraps you’ve been hoarding:
Recipe: Sweet Always DSP, Chocolate Chip card stock, Chit-Chat rub-ons, scallop edge punch, white gel pen, Flower Assortment Designer Brads. Hint: cut/punch 1″ squares.
Matchbox Messages
The Blog Tour is over and it was such a success that we’ll be doing it again in the future! Thanks for stopping by.
I am leaving up two of my samples from the Matchbox Messages stamp set for your viewing pleasure 🙂 I used some of the In-Color palette (Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze) for the first set, paired with Chocolate Chip and a pop of Whisper White. In-Colors ’09 are only available until June 30, when we get an updated palette for 2010, so get ’em while you can!

The Matchbox Messages set is designed to work with the Big Shot Matchbox Bigz XL die (finished box above), so I paired the next sample with another Big Shot Die, the Top Note, and a warm patchwork blanket made from Candy Lane Designer Series Paper to welcome a baby:

I love the Matchbox Die that co-ordinates with this set for the Matchbox, but the little frames on the above cards are also on the same Die…too cute!
Sale-a-Bration Inspiration

This stamp set is YUMMY…really…it is called “Yummy” and it’s one of the Sale-a-Bration sets you can get FREE during February and March with a $50 purchase. I made this Tri-fold card using the Top Note die, SU! texturz plates and the Big Shot! It is embellished with a few of the Flower Fusion blooms and a rhinestone brad. The Yummy Set is designed to co-ordinate with the Top Note, but is perfect for many occasions. You can’t see the texture on the Green, but these new Texturz plates are so much fun to play with! You could slip a gift card inside this cutie…and here is the inside of
the card:
The colors are Old Olive, Rose Red and Pumpkin pie. Stay tuned for more Sale-a-Bration Inspiration…there are only 6 weeks of Sale-a-Bration left, so contact me for more information!
