Time for another confession: I wasn’t sure that I wanted to try the Blendabilities Markers by Stampin’ Up! ….Ā you see, I’m a pretty simple stamper and they looked like “too much work”. But I am so delighted I tried them because alcohol based markers are SO very versatile I’m discovering!
Here’s just one fun way to use these new markers: Emboss a stamped image using white embossing powder on black paper and use your Blendabilities to color the embossed image! This appeals to me because I don’t need to be careful…I can color over the black paper and it doesn’t show up, so easy-peasy crafting for Loni š
Like Pringles, I couldn’t stop with just one, so here’s another version of Bloomin’ Blendabiliteswe made at my last Blend with Friends Class…if you missed it, make sure to register for the next one
After creating a few Valentine Samplers with my Stampin’ Family and stamp clubs, I had a few of these squares left over:
Since I couldn’t let them go to waste (quilters and scrapbookers, you know what I mean, right?) I had to repurpose them and use them somehow. So I created some simple Valentines for my kids:
After a much needed vacation (where I pretty much did nothing and loved every moment of it), I’m back and have had a few fun minutes in my stamp room creating š Today I was feeling PINK, so I jumped into the Create with Connie & Mary challenge! Here’s sketch 257:
And here is my take on it:
Card Recipe (All Supplies from Stampin’ Up! ~ Order Here):
Stamps:Remembering Your Birthday Ink: Pink Pirouette, Pistachio Pudding Paper: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette and Pistachio Pudding card stock, Tea Lace Paper Doilies (129399) Accessories: Big Shot (113439), Apothocary Accents Framelits (127003), Stripes Embossing Folder (123128) and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (117335), Decorative Label (120907) and Scallop Edge Border (119882) punches, White Organza Ribbon (114319) and Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246).
This trio of bunnies are too adorable for words and I’ve been looking for an excuse to use them, so I combined sketch #78 from the Freshly Made Sketches blog and the color inspiration on my Creative Juice by Loni Facebook page…and it turned out so sweet! Of course, I had to add the bunny tails, so it’s really NOT JUST all ears…
Sometimes words just speak for themselves: That’s how I feel about the new “Feel Goods” stamp set in the Spring Catalog! The quotes are uplifting and positive, and don’t we each know someone who could use a little encouragement or appreciation? The challenge is sometimes how to create the card with words as the focal point. Here’s one idea I wanted to share with you today:
Go ahead, make someone “Feel Good” by sending them a card today!
Card Recipe (all supplies from Stampin’ Up!): Pretty in Pink, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla card stock, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake ink pad, Tea for Two Designer Series Paper (129311), Feel Goods stamp set (Spring Catalog pg 21), Labels Collection Framelits (125598), Designer Builder Brads (129329), 1 3/4 Scallop Circle Punch (119854), Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309), 5/8″ Crochet Trim (118481), Honeycomb Embossing Folder (129378) and Big Shot (113439), stamping sponge (101610) and sanding block (129367)Ā
My friend Sally created this elegant card with a few products from the Spring Catalog. Isn’t it beautiful?
Supplies (all Stampin’ Up!): Whisper White, Real Red, Wild Wasabi card stock, Secret Garden stamp set and Cloudy Day textured embossing folder (from Spring catalog), Little Leaves sizzlit, Big Shot, Pearl jewel. The words are from a NEW Sale-a-Bration set called Bloomin’ Marvelous and will be FREE with a $50 purchase starting January 22nd š
Go ahead and put that embossing folder (item 127022) on your wish list…as you see more and more of it, you won’t be able to live without it!
If I were a drinker (I’m not), I would try champagne just because I love the name. Come on, say it with me: “SHAM-PANE”. Champage, Champage, Champage…say it three times and click your heels together and you’ll be taken to a wonderful castle in a cloud! Okay, maybe not, but drink in this beautiful card created with the Champagne Glimmer Paper (Item 127885) and Very Vanilla card stock (this week’s color challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary~CCMC230):
Must say I adore how the Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon (Item 122332) matches so beautifully, tying all the elegant elements together š I used the Stripes embossing folder (Item 123128) for the background, used the Label Collection Framelits to cut the focal points and embossed the New Year’s single stamp (Item 132336) in gold. This stamp is fabulous because you can use it year after year. I’ll be using this card for many upcoming events!
Check out more of the single stamps by clicking on the link on the right (only available through January 2, 2013) and of course, the Clearance Rack Blitz!
