Making a Difference…for 25 Years & Counting!

It’s an honor to be a part of something that brings joy into so many lives in so many different ways. At Stampin’ Up!, making a difference is part of who we are and what we do. While I can’t completely describe the way salt tastes to someone who has never tasted it, I doubt I’ll be able to convey the feeling that surrounds me when I am enjoying convention…but I’ll try to share a little in this post.

We started out on July 18th (my birthday!) with a visit to the SU! Home Office in Riverton, UT. While I’ve been there many times, it was fun to be with friends who were seeing it for the first time. As we were waiting in line, we looked down and discovered that we all had toenails painted in Stampin’ Up! colors 🙂 Can you name them?

Next we held our annual Stitched Stampers Awards Luncheon & Shoebox Swap at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. This was one of the funnest stamping events we’ve had together and we look forward to re-connecting with our sister Stitched Stampers each year. The swaps were AMAZING and the company was delightful!
The next few days was filled to overflowing with classes, demonstrations, awards, product announcements, Anniversary parties and prizes galore!

If you had a chance to step back from the display boards (and IF you were lucky enough to view them without a thousand people crowded around), you could see the samples spelled out the SU! tag line:

At the party after the awards night, we played games, ate cupcakes, took pictures and really rocked out with the Spazmatics who were a hilariously entertaining and surprisingly talented 80’s cover band, so I could sing and dance along, as that is my era! My friend Kelly even won $100 shopping spree at the party, so it was a huge success 🙂
If this wasn’t enough for you, you can actually watch the opening and closing sessions of convention as well as the highlights video on YouTube! Here are the links to the sessions, and the highlights below. You see that Ryan Innes from The Voice sang our theme song during opening session!
Opening Session (1 hr 41 min)
Closing Session (1 hr 34 min)
I am inexpressibly grateful for the difference Stampin’ Up! has made in my life and would love to share the joy with you. When you are ready to join me in this amazing company, please come join my Stampin’ Family and come to convention in July 2014 with us!

Shoebox Swap: Fun for All

All for Fun and Fun for All!

That’s what happens when stampers get together: We enjoy the company and the creativity! Last week a few of the Stitched Stampers (my SU! family of demonstrators) met in St. George, Utah for a few days of FUN. Friday evening we held a shoebox swap and here is the result:

What is a shoebox swap? Each person brings one finished sample and all the supplies cut and prepared to allow everyone else to make the same project!
Anne is our resident dressmaker/seamstress, so this is her fitting card:

Pam lives on land with animals, and we loved her masculine card using the pennant punch and boot:

Sue is clean and simple…with a little bling:
Angie is lighthearted and whimsical, matching the card she made:

You should see some of the beautiful cards Sally has created with the Secret Garden set…this is a cheerful one (and I smeared my ink, darn it!):

Then we put our cards into this card keeper I brought for the swap…and you can make it at the Spring Card Buffet on April 25th 🙂

We love expanding our circle of friends and if you want to join us for more fun as a demonstrator, NOW is the perfect time to be part of the family! During Sale-a-Bration, you get 25% MORE free product in your starter kit (that’s over $150 for just $99…includes shipping!!). Why not try it?

Join my Stampin’ family HERE.
There is no obligation, but I suspect that if you try it, you’ll discover that sharing your passion for paper, stamps and ink is addicting and you’ll LOVE IT!

After all, Stampin’ Up! is All for Fun, and Fun for ALL!

Try it…You’ll Like it!

Remember the old Life Cereal commercial where the two little boys make their little brother “Mikey” try the new stuff to see if it’s any good? Of course, Mikey loves Life, and I’m here to tell you that you’ll love Stampin’ Up! even more when you become a demonstrator!

FAQ:

Q: How much does the starter kit cost?
A: $99. You get to choose $125 in supplies and $65 of business materials are also included. That’s a $190 value…for less than a hundred bucks!

Q: How many parties do I have to do?
A: None. There are no sales requirements to purchase the kit. You can buy the kit and decide how much you want to do, if any. However, I think if you TRY IT, YOU’LL LIKE IT! I’m here to help you make your business a success…YOUR WAY. To remain an active demonstrator, you should submit $300 in sales each quarter (and your own purchases count) and I’ll help you meet your own goals.

Q: Is there a discount on my purchases?
A: Demonstrators get a 20 percent discount on all Stampin’ Up! products, including stamp sets, paper, and accessories. It’s a great way to support your love of stamping, paper or digital crafting, home décor – or whatever your passion may be!

Q: How much money can I earn as a demonstrator?
A: You’ll earn extra income based on your sales and recruiting – just how much extra income is up to you.

Q: Are there any specials going on?
A: YES! Join my Stampin’ Family by August 31, 2012 and get this amazing painter’s tray Halloween kit FREE (a $60 value)! HURRY…THERE ARE ONLY 2 DAYS LEFT!

Q: What kind of support will you provide?
A: I will help you feel at home with Stampin’ Up! While SU! provides spectacular support, it’s great to find a “family” of demonstrators who can make you feel comfortable and capable! I believe the “Stitched Stampers” is that family for you. We hold training meetings, communicate via e-mail and a Facebook page, have swaps and contests, and take care of each other.  You can call me 6 days a week! Whatever you need, I’m here to help!

Q: Where do I go to sign up?
A: Click on the image below to go to my business site and click “Join the Fun”!

Stuff You Want to Know About

So MOVING is over…but unpacking has just begun at my new house! We joke that we threw away half of our stuff as we packed, but I’m finding that I’m throwing away even MORE stuff as I unpack!! Though Stampin’ Up! convention was 3 weeks ago, I haven’t even unpacked my shopping bag from the Memento Mall yet 😦

I am a little late getting August started because of the move and there are a LOT of great stampin’ opportunities I wanted to share with you! First of all, I’m always looking for friends to join my Stampin’ Family and when you purchase the Starter Kit (now just $99!) in August, you will get one of these cool projects to make FREE:

HOW COOL IS THAT? We could make it together and I’d love to share the fun of SU! with you!! Ready to join me? Click here!

Next, the HOLIDAY CATALOG is now available…just click on the image below (or in the left column) to download! It’s packed with amazing new products for Halloween, Fall and Christmas. Now would be a great time to plan a party with friends and get started on your gift-giving (hint, hint).

I hope that my new stampin’ space is set up soon so I can share some fun ideas from the Holiday Catalog…maybe I’ll take a “before” and “after” picture of the closet I am converting to my “office” and share it with you!
Check back tomorrow for more great announcements about MDS2!

I AM…Excited! (Stampin’ Up! Convention Report)

Come along with me for a Stampin’ Up! Convention report!

For 20 summers I have reserved “Me Time” at convention, and with the exception of one year when my baby was just too small to travel with me, I haven’t missed it! There is nothing better than being surrounded by 3500 close friends, stamps, ink, paper and tons of creativity 🙂

It was fun to share updates from convention on my Facebook page, but here are a few more highlights:
We started the week at the Late Night Stampers Stamp Camp and Reunion Party:
Back: Kristi, Pam, Sally & Sherrill, my stampin’ “mom”
Front: Anne, Me, Sue
On check-in day, we toured the Stampin’ Up! home office in Riverton, including a visit to the Legacy Museum, where the decor changes every year and is open most business days for the public to visit:

I took a LOT of photos of the amazing and creative ideas at the convention displays:

This demonstrator’s shirt says it all:

We look forward to getting a new bag at each event, this year a chevron pattern in Summer Starfruit!
It was roomy enough to carry a lot of stuff we bought in the Memento Mall 🙂
I got to walk across the stage for an award:
Make & Take Projects are always a highlight:
And FREE stamps make us smile!
Finally, after convention was over, we got to attend the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Pioneer Day Concert with Katherine Jenkins, guest artist. Here we are on our way to the concert in front of the Salt Lake Temple! What a wonderful week! I’d love to have you join my stampin’ family and come with me to convention next year…

Wish I could share more, but we are moving to a new home, so I may be M.I.A. for a week…check back after August 1st for more creativity or RSVP for my Card Buffet this Saturday in Spanish Fork!
