Add In Color to Your Creation Station

It’s easy to grow to love a color as you use it to make pretty projects, but with this year’s IN COLORS (coming in May), it was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!

Don’t those colors just make you CHEERFUL? Paired with stripes and dots, they create a very happy card. Also a peek at the coming “Attention Shoppers” stamp set arriving with the new annual catalog in May!

To serve my customers who want to collect them ALL (but want to spread it out over a few months), I’ve designed an IN COLOR COLLECTORS CLUB where you join to receive each color one month at a time, with a sampling of ALL the products in that color (only a few of the items are shown below)!

Here’s how it works:

Each month (starting May through September 2024), you will receive one each of the new IN COLORS:

4 sheets of card stock
Four 6″x6″ pieces of Designer Series Paper

Analogous Colors- What? And How to Use them

Another lesson in COLOR CONFIDENCE!

Analogous colors are three to five colors NEXT TO EACH OTHER on the color wheel. When used together, they create a peaceful, harmonious project that flows.

I store my ink pads by Stampin’ Up! color family, but I store my card stock in rainbow order (see below), which makes choosing analogous colors a piece of cake! To create today’s card, I started with Calypso Coral card stock (reminds me of my favorite roses beginning to bloom in my yard!) and chose the two colors right before it: Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo.

Then I made the same card design and tried a different analogous color scheme, pulling Berry Burst and the colors on either side of it: Blackberry Bliss and Moody Mauve (new)!

Home Decor SU! Dollar Tree Style (+ Stamp Clubs!)

It’s hard to resist wandering the aisles of the dollar store…it’s a treasure hunt, and the find of these decor pieces stirred up my creative juice:

You can paint them -or leave them natural- and use your favorite Designer Series Paper to put inside the circle! My version is painted white and I used the Hues of Happiness paper (now sold out on the Last Chance Sale).

Then I used the Alphabet a la Mode Dies to spell out a favorite quote (or ” ________’s Stampin’ Studio” if you are decorating your craft space). If you adhere Adhesive Sheets to the back of a piece of black craft foam, you’ll be able to cut out the letters on your Cut & Emboss machine and attach them to your sign easier. Foam doesn’t keep as rigid a shape as paper, but a TIP is to lay a ruler or straight edge down on your paper to line the letters up on BEFORE you adhere the paper inside the frame!

It’s nice to have dimensional letters that are black on all edges with the craft foam.

Summer Sampler & Stamp Club

Since I’ve moved (back) to southern Utah, I’m starting a new stamp club that meets every other month, with each member taking turns to earn free products! The clubs will be held in my home (so you won’t have to clean your house!) and club members will make 2 projects for free. Wouldn’t it be nice to join with a friend so you had something creative to look forward to together? You could go to dinner before the club and make it a whole evening out!

NEW Catalog Kickoff & Giveaway!

Today is the first day of the NEW Stampin’ Up! Catalog year and it’s something to CELEBRATE! You can view the catalog ONLINE or you can get your own copy to take with you to the ball games, swimming pool and in the car during family vacation by attending my Open House this Saturday from 2-5 pm.

Another way to get a catalog is to host a party (in your home or on Facebook) or join my Creative Juice Stamp Club: You can join from anywhere in the U.S. and there are plenty of perks!

Stamp club members look forward to a night with adult conversation over crafts and often linger longer while family gets to bed or significant other is watching sports 🙂 Some clubs meet in the daytime while the kids are at school, so their family is none-the-wiser!

There is ALWAYS food, laughter, friendship and STAMPING.

If you need an excuse to exercise those flabby creative muscles, a stamp club will help you tone them up! Download a club form to answer questions you may have and get it to me ASAP to join as most clubs begin in JULY.

If you are in Utah, but not in Utah County, I can find a demonstrator close to you OR help you start a Stampin’ Up! business of your own!
