New at SU! Seeing In Color

Whats New Header

If COLORS cheer you up, you are going to be giddy hopping through a rainbow of projects featuring the 2020-2022 In-Colors crafted for you by Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world!

I felt like starting off with ALL 5 of these new hues and the *best* way to show them off is with the Flowers for Every Season Memories & More Cards and coordinating cards & envelopes:

The entire Flowers for Every Season suite revolves around the In-Colors debuting in the Annual Catalog: Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight! It’s amazing how beautifully these colors work together and shine on their own, as well.

These card require no (or very little) stamping, and can be put together in minutes with just a bit of adhesive, Stampin’ Dimensionals and a few embellishments in addition to the Memories & More products above:

The LOVE card on the Just Jade base is as simple as it gets: Just adhere one of the 4″x6″ cards to the front of the cards and tuck it into the envelope!

The card bases have a dotted frame you can center the smaller 2″x3″ card on. I cut a few sentiments (see below) from another one of the M&M cards to add emphasis, reminding me of the song I sung to my babies (and now they sing to their babies) on this Magenta Madness card.

Layer a large and small card together, as on a Misty Moonlight version and add a bit of lace trim to make a blue Christmas card:

There really are flowers for EVERY season! Cinnamon Cider is the best neutral base for all the rest! On the card above, I used the stickers from the card pack for a focal point and sentiment.

I finally pulled out a stamp for the sentiment on the Bumblebee card and used the In-Color Markers to ink it up on a tag from the sticker sheet.

Would love to hear how you liked these cards before hop on over to see Tricia playing with patterns and In Colors!

New at SU!- Sunflowers are for Celebrating!

Whats New Header

With the premier of the NEW 2020-2021 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog at the beginning of June, our International group of demonstrator friends are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas featuring our favorite new FLORAL stamps!

It was a surprise to me, but the Celebrate Sunflowers have cheered me up immensely after the uncertainty of the past few months:

I paired it with my beloved Buffalo Check background in a vibrant new In Color: Magenta Madness! Isn’t that just so Daisy Duke?

Even the inside of the card brings a smile to my face:

The Stitched Rectangle and Stitched So Sweetly dies made the layers come together quickly. I know you may be as anxious as I am to get your hands on the NEW Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine and here’s some good news: The standard machine will be available for customer orders on September 1st!

New at SU: Happy Trails to Happy Tails

new at SU! blog header

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop: Today our international group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators are hosting a “Retirement Parade” showing you some of our favorite stamps that will be retired by June 2nd.

I chose the Happy Tails stamp set in memory of my walking companion of 10 years who we had to say good-bye to not long ago. While Tiger (my dog) wasn’t a Dalmation, it seemed to fit this fun-fold card perfectly:IMG_5341-(W)-2

It’s a tri-fold card and I started with a 12″ x 5.5″ piece of Whisper White card stock (scored at 4″ and 8″) and used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to create a frame on the front flap of the card.  IMG_5343-(W)

Once the card is completely open, there is plenty of space to write your message:

The Happy Tails stamp set is retiring, but the Dog Builder Punch will be carrying over to the new catalog (with no coordinating stamp set) so this is the time to get your paws on both of them!

Tiger was a loyal, patient and loving dog who was a blessing to our family and is missed. Happy Trails, Tiger and the Happy Tails stamp set!

You can move backwards or continue forward through the other awesome projects in our Retirement Parade!  You are sure to find a reason to contact your demonstrator ASAP to get something you won’t want to craft without before it’s gone 🙂
