Hi there, crafty friend! With the NEW January – June Mini Catalog, our international group of demonstrators are coming together to showcase the Peaceful Poppies Suite, and trust me when I say, they are irresistible (the stamps, the projects AND the demonstrators!)
“I don’t need any more floral stamps,” I told myself when I went to OnStage last November, when Stampin’ Up! released the mini catalog to demonstrators. “I’ve got plenty, so I’m NOT going to buy any more.” Then I saw THAT COVER, and my willpower went about as far as Dorothy across the poppy field in Oz…
Today I’m sharing a photo frame project using the Peaceful Moments bundle. You can order this bundle and save 10% when you get the stamps and coordinating dies together ~OR~ you can let the poppies work their magic on you and succumb to the entire Peaceful Poppies SUITE (like yours truly).
I found this adorable wooden photo frame at Dollar Tree (only a buck!) and used the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper to cover the front – I demonstrated how to do it on different frame in my Monday Lunchtime Crafting Live on my Facebook page.
The dies make these stunning layered flowers and leaves and I just couldn’t stop adding layers!
A 3/4″ strip of copper foil sheet (stamped with StazOn ink) made a perfect “name plate” for the bottom of the frame:
To create the ends of the faux plate, just stick it into your Everyday Label Punch like this:
The photo is from our trip to OntarioCanada to visit Ed & Carolyn Helder last September. I met Carolyn through Stampin’ Up! years ago and we’ve become dear friends and this was certainly one of our most enjoyable vacations OF ALL TIME! How grateful I am for the connections created through crafting. (Carolyn, if you see this, pretend to be surprised when it comes later for your birthday)
I’ll share the supply list below if you happen to pick up a frame from the dollar store, but if you are ready to pop along our blog hop, enjoy Judi’s poppy-themed project next, or back up to Brenda’s Blog.
