When I saw the retiring list of products, everything with “Sweet” in the title was being discontinued, and I had a little pity party. I use the Stitched So Sweetly Dies so often, it felt like my left hand was cut off! Once my heart recovered, I picked up and moved forward…there are some lovely things coming, but this is one product you may want to keep close at hand.
Thus, I combined the Stitched So Sweetly Dies in conjunction with the Timeless Tulips stamp set (also retiring) to create this cute patchwork card with layers of labels:
While we have some new tulip dies in the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog, if you are more of a punch person, you may want to grab the stamp set and Tulip Builder die in the Last Chance Sale (while supplies last).
Ready or not it’s Retirement Time! Stampin’ Up! has just released the list of retiring products and some items are on sale. Now is the time to get those items on your wish list ordered before they are long gone.
Here are my Top 3 Tips for the Retirement List:
In Colors: All 2020-2022 In Color inks, paper, and embellishments are retiring. These items usually sell out quickly so don’t forget to add ink refills and extra cardstock to your craft stash. You don’t want to miss having these gorgeous colors in your collection!
Bundles: Bundles, with their 10% savings, all retire! Even if the bundle items carryover to the next catalog the discount does not – so if you have your eye on a bundle, get it now and save!
Stamps vs. Accessories: Retiring stamps are available through 2 May 2022. All other retiring items, such as paper, embellishments, and dies are only available while supplies last, so you don’t want to wait and miss out.
Vellum is beautiful, but a few of the challenges with it are:
Stamping and coloring on it (because of the coating on the paper, it takes forever to dry), and
Adhering it so you can’t see the adhesive.
For this card, I die cut a frame to adhere the vellum to and colored it on the back side with Stampin’ Blends, which don’t leave streaks and dry quickly because they are alcohol based:
As paper crafters, we hate wasting paper so I have another tip: Make TWO cards at a time to most effectively use your card stock. You can cut the frame from the center of one color and use the outside edge as a matte for your Designer Series Paper for the other card (watch video below):
The In the Moment stamp set works perfectly with the New Horizons Designer Series Paper and with these sentiments, I can imagine sending it to a friend to encourage them to take some time off from the hustle-and-grind. They are excellent reminders that self-care is also taking time to unwind!

I had an extra daffodil I had embossed and colored for my last project sitting on my desk, and since my mother looked forward to them each spring, it made sense to create a Mother’s Day card with it.
You can make this too!
Measurements: Pear Pizzazz cardstock: 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼” for card base Fresh Freesia and Vellum cardstock: 3-1/2” x 4-3/4” Basic White: 3-3/4” x 5” Seam Binding ribbon: 14”
Instructions: 1. Emboss the Fresh Freesia card stock with Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. 2. Using white ink and embossing powder, heat emboss the daffodil bunch in bottom right corner of vellum card stock and greeting on top left corner of Fresh Freesia card stock. Rip the top right corner of vellum away, being careful not to tear through embossed daffodils. 3. Turn the vellum card stock over and color image with Stampin’ Blend markers. 4. Adhere Fresh Freesia layer to White card stock. Line up vellum over Freesia and use Take Your Pick took to pierce holes in the 3 corners to insert small white round brads through. 5. Tie ribbon around the layers, then adhere to front of card with dimensionals. Product List

I chose to use the Daffodil Daydream bundle, along with the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper that you could choose free (through 2/28/22) when you purchase the bundle…and why not have some coordinating paper to craft with?
This card is a tri-fold card using the DSP as the base. Cut it to 6″x12″ and score at 4″ and 8″, then using your paper trimmer, cut a diagonal line from the fold on the back panel down to about 3″ on the left side (see photo below).
I enjoy making this type of card because the patterned paper already makes it look fabulous! A simple tag added to the front with a daffodil embossed on vellum (and colored on the back with Stampin’ Blends) is the focal point on the first panel, and while I used the Easter sentiment from the stamp set for the card, you could really stamp any greeting.
TIP: Dab a little liquid glue on the back of the vellum with a stampin’ sponge to adhere to the tag with no adhesive showing!

It was love at first sight for me and the “Every Chapter” stamp in the J-J Mini Catalog. I have a similar stack of books next to my bed. When I found these cute chalkboard easels at Dollar Tree, I knew exactly what to do with the stamp:
It was so simple, too! Here are the instructions:
Ink up Every Chapter stamp with white craft ink and press onto chalkboard, being careful not to rock side to side. Cover wet ink with white embossing powder, shake or brush off excess powder with small, dry paintbrush and heat to set the powder.
Wrap 18” of ribbon around on the left side of chalkboard and tie in a knot. Wrap the 24” piece of ribbon into 3 loops (around 3-4 fingers). Lay on knotted ribbon and tie.
Add loose flower to book with mini glue dot. Add silver pearl to center of flower.
Wouldn’t it look adorable as a favor on a table, too?
