Every Chapter Chalkboard Easel

It was love at first sight for me and the “Every Chapter” stamp in the J-J Mini Catalog. I have a similar stack of books next to my bed. When I found these cute chalkboard easels at Dollar Tree, I knew exactly what to do with the stamp:

It was so simple, too! Here are the instructions:

Ink up Every Chapter stamp with white craft ink and press onto chalkboard, being careful not to rock side to side. Cover wet ink with white embossing powder, shake or brush off excess powder with small, dry paintbrush and heat to set the powder.
Wrap 18” of ribbon around on the left side of chalkboard and tie in a knot. Wrap the 24” piece of ribbon into 3 loops (around 3-4 fingers). Lay on knotted ribbon and tie.
Add loose flower to book with mini glue dot. Add silver pearl to center of flower.

Wouldn’t it look adorable as a favor on a table, too?

Toasty Treats Gift Boxes

Love to give tasty gifts, but hate to bake? This project will have you making, but not baking!

Did you know there are PUMPKIN PIE POP TARTS…and they really taste like a pumpkin pie? They are really yummy! I found mine at Target, and you want to pick up at least 20 Pop Tarts (or 10 sets) because 2 fit into our Kraft Gift Boxes perfectly, and they come in a set of 10. Of course, you could make a Christmas version of this project and substitute a holiday flavor!

But sticking with the pumpkin theme, here are two options~ I used the Sweets & Treats stamp set (all supplies listed below) to create one of these boxes and the Pretty Pumpkins bundle to create an alternate version:

New at SU! Warm, Cozy & Wildly Happy

Welcome to our “Warm & Cozy” Blog Hop: The best way to view these projects from talented demonstrators around the world is wrapped in a blanket with a warm cup of cocoa!

My project is a sign to hang from your door when a baby (or yourself) are sleeping! If you are a new mom, you should take this advice: “SLEEP WHEN YOUR BABY SLEEPS”. You need the rest, and during the winter, we need more sleep. Let this notice keep it quiet during that important time.

The photo-realistic textures of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper felt cabin-cozy for my Naptime Door Sign and with the Playful Alphabet dies, you can say what you want to say! TIP: If you happen to drop a die in the garbage can while crafting, grab a magnet to fish it out (not saying that happened or anything…)

I made it the same size as a card (5.5″ x 4.25″) so you can mail it to a friend who just had a baby.

I’ve been really enjoying the new Water Painters for watercoloring…it’s so relaxing to color! Doesn’t the mother and baby fox from the Wildly Happy stamp set just make you want to curl up for a snooze?

We are celebrating the final fling of Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-Bration (ends March 31st) so our international group of demonstrator friends are squeezing the most of it for you today! You’ll find many projects to inspire you to get (at least) one more FREE S-A-B product (while they last).

This little bag contains a tea-light holder and will express how much you appreciate someone who has shined a light in your life! I found the perfect sentiment in the Strong & Beautiful stamp set, though I forgot to add it to my supply list…

The measurements for the DSP inside the bag are 2-5/8″ x 12″ and scored at 3/4″, 3–5/8″ and 10-5/8″. I also made a small box for the bottom of the bag (sits inside the DSP to hold the candle) from card stock: 4″ square, scored at 3/4″ on each side. It takes a bit of patience to work the DSP + box into the bottom of the bag, but it works!

What’s New at SU! Birthday Dies

Paper crafters love nothing more than Co-ordination: We swoon for ribbon in Stampin’ Up! colors, we sigh over designer series papers that match our punches and we are head-over-heels when we have dies for stamped images so we don’t have to cut them out!

It’s February and our group of demonstrator friends from around the world are showcasing the NEW SU! Product Coordination release items and we are hoppin’ with excitement to share these projects with you!

The Birthday Dies were designed to coordinate with the Happy Birthday to You Sale-a-Bration Stamp set (which you could choose free with a $50 order before March 31, 2020). Notice the leaf dies: There are TWO leaves on ONE die! This is a great improvement, as tiny dies are too fiddly for me and having two of them together makes them much easier to use!

IMG_4637-(W) My project is a remake of one of my favorite gift packaging because our Acetate Card boxes are perfect for holding a mug cake mix. It’s sort of a “bake-your-own-birthday-cake” gift!

IMG_4640-(W) It’s a pretty, frilly & feminine project, and even though I did end up fussy cutting the sentiment, the dies helped the rest of it come together quickly.

A Bright Welcome to Magnolia Lane

There are iconic sights all over the world: The Eiffel Tower in Paris, the pyramids of Egypt, a great wall in China and now, the Magnolia Lane Suite by Stampin’ Up!

This collection of products has made such a mark on the crafting world that it’s becoming instantly recognizable on the shelves of discerning makers around the world! It’s certainly one of my all-time favorites.

I wanted to use the dies to create something a little different: A piece of home decor that is bright, animated and welcoming!

This was also a masterpiece we created at my Stamp Club in July. It was worth all the cutting (and the fact that I finished season 6 of “Call the Midwife” as I was cutting out hundreds of flowers for my club members).

If you want to make your own, you’ll need to cut two of the large and medium flower pieces for each of the flowers and one of the smallest flower pieces from the Magnolia Memory Dies, then simply curly them with your bone folder and layer using multipurpose liquid glue (the best adhesive for these flowers). The leaves are punched using the crafters essential Leaf Punch and the Stampin’ Up! card stock colors used are: Lovely Lipstick, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green I finished it off with two of the center starburst die cuts and a “welcome” from the Well Written Dies

We put the flowers in a frame with a 4″x7″ opening so it bursts forth with joy: I’m setting it on my piano by the front door for the rest of the summer!

Spirited Snowman & Year End Closeout

Have you had your first snowfall yet? While I prefer viewing it from afar, it’s covering my front yard and that makes me want to stay indoors…and craft.
