Stampin’ Up!®️ Gingham Gallery Birthday Pie Harvest In Color Accordion z-Fold Card

Gingham Harvest Birthday PIE Card

August 31, 2026September 7, 2026Leave a comment

I’ve never met a pastry I didn’t like, and as we enter the harvest season, pie is the pastry of choice…so why not a birthday PIE instead of a cake?

This card was a work-in-progess as it went along, and it began with inspiration from two challenges: The #tgifc592 Product challenge to use the 2026-2028 In Colors and the #gdp563 Garden/Harvest inspiration (pumpkins or apples are part of a pie, thus it counts, right?)

This fun-fold is called a Z-fold Accordion card: I didn’t really follow any tutorial, but made it up as I went along! I cut a piece of Peaceful Pine card stock to 11″ x 5.5″ and scored at 1.75″, 3.5″, 5.25″ and 7″ – it makes the final card 4″ x 5.5″. I used the leftover piece to make the 3″ x 7″ panel which folds at 3.5″ and sticks to the front and back of the accordion fold. Then you can add Designer Series Paper over the top and embellish as desired:

I chose Peaceful Pine and Crisp Canteloupe as my In Colors and once I laid the “table” with the gingham coverings, I was delighted to find the pie and slice of pie from the Harvest Hues Mix & Match Ephemera Pack (Item #168495 – arriving tomorrow, 9/1/26) were the perfect servings for the party!

A few copper foil leaves add the bling that any good card maker must have, and the happy birthday sentiment follows suit:

It’s a lovely transition from summer garden to autumn treats, and will be a card to adorn someone’s shelf or mantel to decorate for their birthday!

Two quick reminders: the September Designer Series Paper Share (which includes a piece of copper Metal Effects specialty paper) closes tomorrow, September 1st, and is the best way to get a sample of every NEW design dropping 9/1! It’s like a paper buffet, so you know which you want to go back for more of.

Second reminder: TODAY is the END of the current Paper Sale in my Stampin’ Store!

Paper Cuts and Delightful Deals

August 12, 2026August 12, 2026Leave a comment

If you’ve filled your cupboards, drawers, desk and closets with pretty paper, then you understand the passion for paper. It’s not just a flat material, but infinite possibilities when you hold a piece in your hand! “Should I make a card? A gift? Seasonal decor?” are the questions that run through my mind when I open a fresh pack of card stock or patterned designs.

While Stampin’ Up!®️ is hosting a SALE on select DSP and card stock in August, I wanted to share ideas to inspire you to CUT INTO THAT PAPER you love!

Glow of Harvest and Peaceful Garden greeting cards following same sketch

Each of these cards follows the same “sketch” and use different Designer Series Paper. Since the Peaceful Garden (bottom card) paper is part of the sale, we’ll take a closer look at it first:

I used only the Peaceful Garden DSP, card stock (Misty Moonlight & Secret Sea) and a pre-printed sentiment from the Greetings for All Ephemera pack…no stamping required for this card.

Stampin’ Up!®️ Glow of Harvest Keep Looking Up greeting card

The second card follows the same sketch, and shows off the August Product of the Month, the Glow of Harvest Designer Series Paper…

My team had a challenge to use this paper for a project and share it, thus my version does dual duty! It also gives a sneak-peek at a new embossing folder coming in September (Softly Woven). I added a sweet sentiment and acorn accents from the Sweet Words & Labels bundle.

Sketch Details:

Background papers: 1.5″ x 3″ and 3″ x 3″ (optional mat: 3.25″ x 4.75″)
Banner: 2″ x 3-7/8″
DSP strips or labels: approx. 1/2″ tall by however long you’d like.

HEADS UP: The September Paper Share is also OPEN and you can reserve a 6″ x 6″ piece of each NEW design being released next month! It will be shipped to you around September 9th, but you must pay for your share by September 1st.

If you need storage options for your paper, you may check out the deals at Stamp-n-Storage for the next week: Each day is a different daily special and I love their paper storage options (pockets work well for me!):

Hot Foil Butterfly Flight Arched Easel Card

Will It Foil? Part 3: Foil on Vellum

August 5, 2026August 5, 2026Leave a comment

Another smooth medium for hot foil stamping is Vellum. a translucent paper that exudes elegance.

For this card, I hot foiled the butterflies/moths onto vellum paper with silver foil, then colored them on the BACK side of the vellum with Stampin’ Blends markers.

A card this pretty needs to be displayed, and since it’s also an easel, it can be! To make the base of the card, score an 8.5″ x 11″ card stock at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″, then attach the arch ONLY to the lower half of the card front. Remember to “lift” an element (in this case, the “thankful for you” label) inside the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give the base something to lean against.

Stampin’ Up!®️ Moonlit Flora and Hot Foil Butterfly Flight Easel Card

While the Moonlight Flora Designer Series Paper is part of the August Paper Sale, it’s currently out of stock, but should be back next week (around August 10th). YOU CAN REQUEST A NOTIFICATION when a product is back in the store and it’s very useful as a reminder to order.

If you haven’t had a chance to view the Hot Foiling video tutorial this blog post is inspired by, here it is:

Card making is more than a hobby, it’s a way to connect with people you care about in a meaningful, beautiful way. Your written love inside a hand-crafted card will encourage, delight, comfort, soothe, reassure, and lift the person you send it to, and often becomes a cherished keepsake. Never underestimate the power of your heART 🧡

Stampin’ Up!®️ Wild Bunch Penguin Black & White Thank You Card

What’s Black & White with a POP of Color?

June 13, 2026June 13, 2026Leave a comment

With all the makings of a silly joke, I’m back with a Penguin card from the Wild Bunch Stampin’ Up!®️ Product of the Month! Isn’t he looking dapper in his everyday tuxedo paired with a POP of Crisp Cantaloupe?

You don’t even need to emboss the checkered background- simply stamp the image over and over again in Whisper White Craft ink on Basic Black card stock. I *did* emboss the sentiments, and cut them apart so there would be a trio to draw the eye in a triangle.

I “cheated” on the double ribbon: I just taped two 5″ strips of ribbon to the back of the top layer, then tied another length around them on the front in a bow.

The inside is a la “Madagascar” (the movie) style: with another trio of precocious penguins peeking out playfully:

The Wild Bunch stamp set is available *while supplies last* as an option to choose for just $5 once your order reaches $75. Which is serendipitous because today (6/13/26) is the last day of our Summer FREE SHIPPING on orders over $75 as well!

If this dramatic combination of Black & White plus a pop of color appeals to you, you’ll want to attend the Paint a Paper Garden class, where you’ll learn 5 different coloring techniques for the elegant B&W Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper. Wild Bunch & Save on Shipping (3 Days Only)

June 10, 2026June 9, 2026Leave a comment

Dear loyal friends & customers,

This is your advance notice that there are 3 days of FREE SHIPPING coming on June 11-13 (this Thursday-Saturday) on orders over $75 PLUS when your order reaches $75, you can choose a Product of the Month for just $5 (while supplies last).

To maximize your crafting investment, check the last chance list, buy SUMMER BOREDOM BUSTERS (a.k.a. KITS) and restock adhesive and card stock. The new Paper Pumpkin add-on dies (Detailed Flora) will also drop on the first day of free shipping, so remember to add them to your cart because they coordinate with the July-September kits!

Each month, I add the newest Product of the Month to the right column of this website, and in case you haven’t paid attention to June’s product, it’s the cutest critters in stamp set form!

The sketched plaid brought to mind the Misty Moonlight Checkered Trim that I’ve been itching to use, and my UK demo friend Helen Read shared a card map that I borrowed:

I believe you’ll find it easiest to color these animals with the wonderful Stampin’ Up!®️ Watercolor Pencils, and you can really blend them nicely when the tips of the pencils are dull, not sharp. If you want to enhance the colors, lightly color over the pencils with a Water Pen, starting with the lightest colors first.

The details definitely define the card, and while the flower embellishment is part of the Violet Dreams Suite coming in July, both ribbons and Designer Series Paper are available now and are listed in the supplies below, moving your order toward the minimum for free shipping and the Product of the Month!

On the inside of the card:

One final reminder: Today (6/10) is the deadline to subscribe for the June Paper Pumpkin Kit “Bikes & Blooms” which includes everything you need to create 9 cheerful summer-style greeting cards with silver accents and matching envelopes! This is happy mail you’ll look forward to every month.

Inspired by Berries

Like popping a fresh berry into your mouth while picking them from the garden, I couldn’t stop once I started playing with the Made with Sweetness fruit-shaped dies! Happily, the TGIF Challenge #tgifc578 gave me a reason to make another card featuring the dies AND use my circle punch again. Here’s the inspiration:

And here’s my take:

The card stock square I blended the circles on is 4″ x 4″ in case you want to try it yourself, and all the supplies are listed below (thanks for supporting my small business and shopping with me!). Now to see this card come together quickly, watch this YouTube Short:

If you’ve seen the Flip-Flaps in the Stampin’ Up!®️ store and wondered “What are those for?” you’ll be happy you popped in to visit the April New at SU! Blog Hop! These demonstrator artists from around the world have created a variety of projects to help you discover how much FUN Flip-Flaps can be in paper crafting.

Flip Flaps were originally designed to be used on Scrapbook layouts to give you the opportunity to add more photos to a page ~ check out this video from last year so see how they extend your memory keeping options!

On to my little jar of joy project!

The brag book every grandmother needs, this mini-accordion album is another adorable project using the Filled with Sweetness Bundle and one you could create for Mother’s Day gifting this year!

Stampin’ Up!®️ Homemade Sweetness Mini Accordion Album, Filled with Sweetness

I die cut a lining for the front and back of the jar from the Homemade Sweetness Designer Series Paper to make it more sturdy and adhered to the first 3″ x 3″ Flip Flap to the heart jar cover on the inside:

Stampin’ Up!®️ Mini Album using Homemade Sweetness Designer Series Paper, Filled with Sweetness bundle and Flip Flaps

After that, I used 6 more Flip Flaps (seven total for the album and there are 12 in each pack). Simply fold over the self-adhesive flap and adhere it to the next one so that all the squares are stacked on top of each other. The last Flip Flap will need to be adhered to the back cover with Tear & Tape adhesive.

You can add photos to both sides and I added a few inserts/additions fussy cut from the patterned paper and one using the Wooly Friends Bundle:

The album is almost as cute as my grandkids, don’t you agree? If you are ready to make a few of these for Mother’s Day, you’re in luck ~ starting today (4/15) through Friday, you can earn double rewards! (Check your account to make sure you are OPTED IN to earn rewards)

close up Stampin' Up! Reason to Celebrate and Seasonal Celebration birthday card

Celebrating New Creativity

January 8, 2026January 8, 2026Leave a comment

The beginning of a new year makes me want to clear a little creative space and ask a simple question: how do I want to show up for the people I love? For me, one of the easiest and most meaningful answers is birthdays. A handmade birthday card is a small thing, but it carries a reminder that someone was thought of before the day even arrived.

This bright, happy card was created by pairing the Reason to Celebrate stamp set from the new January–April Mini Catalog with Seasonal Celebrations from the January Online Exclusives, which serendipitously pair together perfectly (certainly it was good planning on the part of Stampin’ Up!®️). The bold greeting anchors the card with confidence, while the playful stamped party elements on blocks of color bring in movement, color, and a sense of joy. Together, they strike that sweet balance between cheerful and heartfelt, which is exactly what birthday cards should feel like.

Beyond birthday celebrations, there are many ways to combine these bold images and fun fonts for many special occasions!

As the year unfolds, I’m prepared to remember the lives of people I love, not just with faceless texts, but with something tangible they can hold. A birthday card says, “You matter. I planned ahead. I made time.”

With the release of the January-April Mini Catalog AND new Online Exclusives that have been added to my Stampin’ Store, there are some other promotions to be aware of:

In addition to the opportunity to earn Bonus Days Coupons for every $50 spent between 1/6-2/2, a new Product of the Month has been added for January (while supplies last):

Here’s to a creative year ahead, to new stamps finding old favorites, and to celebrating birthdays, one handmade card at a time.

Fab-Ewe-Lous Sheep & Free Ship LAST DAY

December 12, 20252 Comments

Some cards leap off the desk and insist on being created -this one was definitely in that category!

When the new Wooly Friends bundle arrived on my porch (available to customers beginning January 6th), the sheep all but marched themselves to my craft table. I paired them with December’s Product of the Month, the True Blue Florals Designer Series Paper (which you can add to any $75 order for just five dollars). The rich blues felt like the perfect stage for these fuzzy little scene-stealers.

To give the sheep their soft, pettable charm, I stamped them on All-Season Velvet specialty paper. It adds a texture that turns the card into something people instinctively want to touch, the way you might absentmindedly run your fingers over a cozy blanket.

My card follows the Global Design Project Sketch #gdp526, the lambs as the 3 circles drawing the eye:

Today is an especially good day to treat yourself to some craft supplies: It’s the last day of Stampin’ Up!’s free shipping offer on orders over $75, which makes this the perfect moment to tuck a few favorites into your cart and scoop up that $5 paper special along the way. BONUS: If you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can also shop the PP product sale, with past kits, refills and add-on dies included!

Consider this your gentle nudge to craft something that makes you smile. These little wooly faces certainly did the trick for me.

Remember the anticipation of getting to open one door each day on the calendar counting down to Christmas? You can re-live that giddy feeling with the new 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar!

Behind each door are brand-new, never-before-seen dies, paper, embellishments, and other exclusive items you won’t find in any of the Stampin’ Up! catalogs or in our online store which all coordinate with the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar photopolymer STAMP SET (a double set, INCLUDED with the calendar!), worth well over $125.

This set (and the supplies in the calendar) are NOT Christmas or Holiday-specific, but can be used year-round for crafting happiness.

While I don’t want to spoil the surprises inside, I am going to share more ideas using just the stamp set (along with card stock and ink) from October 22-26th on my Creative Juice by Loni Facebook Page, beginning with this Summer Splash “Thinking of You” card.

Serendipitously, there will be THREE DAYS of FREE SHIPPING on orders over $75 from October 22-24, 2025, so this is the time to save 11% AND check off a Christmas gift for a paper crafter!

Now, if you are a crafter yourself, the BEST deal is the October-Only Starter Kit offer, and you could choose to add the 12 Days of Crafting to your Starter Kit for just $35 (and still choose a few more products!):

Show me the Starter Kit!

If you order the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar from my store (while supplies last) OR join my team, you’ll receive 12 project tutorials using the supplies from the calendar before the end of 2025!
