In October 2026, our New at SU! Design Team is here to encourage you to look at letters, fonts, words & numbers with a new perspective: I’m showcasing the large Party Alphabet Dies in glimmer paper with a drop shadow for a seasonal home decor piece.

When I saw this gorgeous copper raised-leaf tray at the Dollar Tree, I knew I had to create something with it! I found that the Autumn Woodland Glimmer paper was a fine match, and began to brew up a plan.

The fall plaid pattern from the Autumn Opulence Designer Series Paper is perfectly framed inside the tray. Any word up to 6 letters fits in this space, and I cut each letter twice: once from the Cajun Craze glimmer paper and the second time from Blackberry Bliss card stock. By offsetting the Blackberry behind the glimmer paper, it gives a “drop shadow” effect.

Each letter pairing is raised on dimensionals. The die cut pumpkin is also from the Autumn Opulence DSP but it had a white background, so I used a Basic Beige ink pad and blending brush to tone down the stark white background. The sentiment was embossed in gold on Blackberry card stock and expresses my adoration for the season.
