You must be as excited about holiday crafting as I am, since you are joining our blog hop with this creative group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world! We are hoppin’ with ideas to share with you from the upcoming Holiday Catalog!

I’m giving you a “sneak beak” at one stamp set you’ll certainly want in your crafting “bag of chicks”: the Birds of a Feather stamp set.

The colors are Crushed Curry, Early Espresso and Cajun Craze with Very Vanilla. It was fun to use the Stampin’ Blends to color the cook, too.

This could be the (tur)KEY to a lovely Thanksgiving table setting: Simply replace the greeting with the name of a guest and set it above their plate to indicate where they should sit for the meal of the year!

Spooky Sweets

It’s really an oxymoron, isn’t it? Spooky Sweets? How can something be scary AND yummy? I guess it’s the paradox of the whole Halloween season!

The Baker’s Boxes in the Holiday Catalog got me thinking: What could I fill them with? It’s so much fun to give something a bit bigger than a card!

The boxes are nice and large (4-1/4″ square and 2-1/8″ tall) and they are coated on the inside so your goodies don’t leak through. You can wrap the boxes with Designer Series Paper, spray them with a few drops of ink refills mixed with rubbing alcohol in the Stampin’ Spritzer or color them with ink using a sponge brayer, as I did with this one:

We actually made these boxes at our Fall StampFest events last month as one of the eight projects prepared for our guests…if you missed it, make sure you plan ahead to come to our Spring StampFest in either St. George (February 23, 2019) or Spanish Fork Utah (March 9, 2019).

Don’t stop with PINK…you can make this card in any color you want to show your awareness, love and concern for those in any battle! This is one of my favorite charts showing ribbon colors for causes. I made these versions of the card with colors for Type 1 Diabetes (blue and gray with a drop of blood), Alzheimers (purple) and Heart Disease (red) :

My Stampiversary is over, but the last thank you cards need to go into the mail. It seemed only natural to make some “creative juice” cards to encourage the customers who ordered from my Flash Sale to live with ZEST!

Using the words from a stamp set as your background can make a dramatic impact: For this card, I stamped once with my stamp loaded with Lemon-Lime twist ink, then stamped again without re-inking it and then ONE MORE TIME for the lightest impression.

25 Ways in 25 Days: Anniversary Giveaway!

25 Years with SU!Gas was $1.05 a gallon. Cartoon Network had just started broadcasting and Bill Clinton became President of the United States (I’m not implying they were connected, but???) I had just given birth to my second child (a son) and was looking for a way to connect and have conversations with other adults, so when my husband ran into LaVonne Crosby as they each took children to the church foyer to calm down and she happened to have a catalog in her car of the company she and her sister had started, my Stampin’ Up! career began!

At the time, Stampin’ Up! carried mostly rubber stamps from other companies with a few they manufactured themselves with a choice between foam mounted rubber or wood blocks. Rainbow stamp pads were extremely popular and we only offered WHITE paper products to stamp on!

Crafting Out of the Box

Some folks like to follow a recipe and others enjoy creating something from scratch: With a Paper Pumpkin kit, you can do either…or both!

The June Paper Pumpkin kit was fabulous for summertime celebrations (see the video I shared on June 19th)…here are the projects as shown in the kit~ it had supplies for 6 cards and 4 bags:

Then it was time to try mixing it up a little! What else could I do with just the items in the kit, but not make them all the same? Let’s see…

Made a few different tags and cards, then put the banner on the INSIDE of the card to pop up when the recipient opens it!

Once you’ve created all the projects in your kit, you still have the stamp set and ink spot(s) left over, so add a little more card stock, a different color of ink and maybe a few accessories and keep on creating:

It’s almost MORE fun to find different ways to use the supplies than it is to follow the instructions! You’ll be blown away at the creativity shared by other crafters with their kits~ and find hundreds of ways to get the most of your Paper Pumpkin kit!

This Little Piggy Found Zen

This little piggy is happy it’s Friday!

Today’s card was inspired by #tgifc113 and the fact that the “This Little Piggy” stamp set was sitting on my desk, begging to be used today.

So if you’ve never tried the Bokeh technique, I’ll show you how I did this one (there are a few different techniques, but this one is the easiest for me). I started with a piece of Pool Party card stock and sponged Pool Party, Tempting Turquoise, Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo in circular motions on the top. It won’t look pretty at this point. Never fear~ It gets better!

Next I took a Window Sheet and punched different sizes of circles in it. You could also use the circle framelit dies and your big shot. Lay this over the top of your dried, sponged card and apply plenty of Whisper White Ink with a sponge dauber. Remember to make some of the circles go off the edge of your paper!

 

I like to find a circle stamp (or two) in some of my other stamp sets to add a few stamped circles after the sponging too. This little circle was pulled from the “Sweet Home” set, but any will work. IMG_4593 Next I stamped the happy pig on top using Night of Navy ink and also stamped it on Powder Pink card stock to cut out. I don’t mind a little fussy cutting to make this cute guy really pop off the card. FullSizeRender 7

The flower was stamped/cut out from Daffodil Delight and as I wanted to keep it clean and simple today, I simply added a few of the new Glitter Enamel Dots in keeping with the Bokeh theme:
