New at SU! – Framed & Festive Tags

Let’s wrap up the season with some GIFT TAGS for you to copy or to inspire you! Our global group of demonstrators have some terrific tags, so don’t miss gathering ALL the ideas…or PIN them for next year!

I have a lot of holiday Designer Series Paper left over, and I wanted to pair it with my favorite sentiments from the Framed & Festive set (only available for 2 more weeks!). They can be used for *any* holiday and the sayings fit in the Framed Florets dies (which WILL be in the 2023 January-April mini catalog), so it was speedy to create these:

Each strip of Designer Series Paper was 5-1/2″ x 1-1/2″. I just cut out a Garden Green, Real Red and Basic White Oval Frame, then mixed and matched the colors for stamping or embossing.

A simple tag can really dress up any gift, and these are under the tree, or out for delivery!

I’ll link my supplies below, and I am happy to serve USA Crafters (if you don’t have a demonstrator already), or you can find a demonstrator in your country along our hop:

Have Yourself a CHERRY Little Christmas

It’s jolly good fun to wander through the aisles of Dollar Tree and imagine ways to use some of the festive treasures they carry as home decor or gifts! When I saw these cute little packages of 3 Cherry Cordials (which evoke Christmas memories from my childhood), I remembered my Stampin’ Up! Cherry Builder punch and the creative juice started flowing…

It was KISMET that I found the perfect sentiment in the Framed & Festive Limited Edition stamp set, and the idea was taking shape! In fact, I created this simple “dress up” project in my Monday Live video, which you can watch quickly here:

You can alter the design just a bit and put it on a larger box of Cordial Cherries, as well:

PSSST…tomorrow (December 1st) is the beginning of our LAST CHANCE sale on items from the July-December mini catalog (along with NEW things added to the clearance rack) and the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper that I used on the small cherry boxes will be on sale for 60% off, while supplies last, so set an alarm to shop the sale early!

Fitting Florets & Christmas Card Class

Starting TODAY, the Fitting Florets Collection (a pre-release from Stampin’ Up!’s 2023 January-June Mini Catalog) is ready to add to cart – with some of the limited time products only available while supplies last! The BUNDLE will be available through June 2023, but you’ll want to get the whole collection ASAP to use through the holiday season.

Let me show you two versions of a simple “fancy fold” card using some of these pretty products from my live crafting video “sneak peek” yesterday!

To make this fold, you need a piece of 8.5″ x 5.5″ card stock and score at 3″ and 7.25″ along the longer side with the Simple Scored board (or your paper trimmer and scoring blade). Layer on a piece of 5.25″ x 2.75″ Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper (available only while supplies last) on the front left side of card and a 1″ x 5.25″ piece on the front right flap.

The Framed & Festive stamp set could be combined with ANY Christmas paper, stamps and accessories and the font makes is playful and perfect.

One way to play with this new collection will be to attend the Christmas Card Class THIS SATURDAY, November 5th at 3 pm in Hurricane, Utah:

You’ll create 8 gorgeous greeting cards for the holiday (2 each of 4 different designs, including envelopes) for just $20, and one of the cards is designed with the Fitting Florets collection. Remember to bring scissors and adhesive, but if you forget or need more, we’ll have both scissors & adhesive + refills available for purchase at the class.

Reserve your spot by November 2nd by clicking the button below, or send Venmo to Loni-Spendlove

Sweet Candy Cane Stand-Up Step Card

Here’s a taste of Christmas Cheer in greeting-card form, and while it stands up to display, it folds FLAT to mail!

Crafters at the Kane County Crafter’s Convention also made this card using the Sweet Candy Cane suite last weekend. It’s one of my favorite fancy folds, and it’s easier to make than you would imagine! Here’s how:

For the card base, you’ll need:

  • 10.5″ x 4.25″ Real Red card stock, scored at 1/2″, 1.75″, 3.75″ and 5″
  • 5.5″ x 3″ Real Red card stock, scored at 1/2″ and 1.75″
  • 4″ x 5.25″ Pool Party card stock: Die cut stripe background from the center of this piece
  • 4″ x 1.75″ piece of Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper
  • 3.5″ x 2.75″ Pool Party card stock (optional: emboss with Wintry 3D embossing folder)
  • 5.5″ x 4.25″ Basic White: Stamp candy canes, leaves and sentiment, cut out with coordinating dies
  • 4″ x 5.25″ Basic White for back of card, where you can write a message when sending

Santa’s Delivery: Holiday Decor

Over the weekend, I participated in the First Annual Kane County Crafter’s Convention in Kanab, Utah and had so much fun playing in the “Location for Creation”, as my friend Seana Johnson coined it! Seana coordinated a wickedly wonderful 1st event with Create Room, Stampin’ Up! and the Kane County Office of Tourism as sponsors, and it was an dream escape for all who attended:

My teammate Sue Stratton and I designed and prepared 8 paper crafting projects for the guests, and this was the Holiday Decor piece I created as a project for the event participants:

You can find the tray at Dollar Tree, and it makes the ideal frame for a holiday scene! Because the Santa’s Train dies can die cut the stamped images OR the images from the Santa’s Express Designer Series Paper, I demonstrated a slightly different version in my video today:

While I’m still working to get the WHOLE video to post correctly on YouTube, you can catch a second version on my Facebook Page Video, if needed.

It’s just as cute when using the Designer Series Paper:

If you choose to create this version, here’s what you’ll need (and thanks for letting me supply your creative needs!):

Christmas Choo-Choo Card + October Announcements

This week’s TGIF Challenge #tgifc388 was a tricky one indeed! A card WITHOUT a sentiment?! Who does that?

I couldn’t even wrap my head around it, until I found a loophole: No sentiment…on the FRONT.

Inspired by a project my friend Sue designed for our Fall StampFest, I pulled out the SANTA EXPRESS suite and die cut images from the Designer Series Paper to follow my “train” of thought:

See? No sentiment! Even the signpost has stars instead of words.

But untie the top and extend it out and the rest of the idea follows:

NOW we are cooking with coal! Isn’t that adorable? The only thing I did stamp was the sentiment, then punched it out with the Label Me Lovely punch and attached them all with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Some folks like to create cards without a sentiment on the front so they may add the appropriate words when they need to use it. For me, it’s like singing a familiar song and STOPPING just before the last word! The suspense just *hangs* in the air until the final note is sung.

Hopefully, this card meets the requirements AND finishes the last note, once opened. I’ve listed the supplies after the announcements.

HEY! If you read all the way through on the day this post was published (Tuesday, October 4th), I’ve got one more surprise for you: FREE SHIPPING on orders over $75 today only! If your order is less than $150, enter host code XJM43JKB in your cart as you check out and you’ll be entered into my monthly host code drawing.

On my Facebook Live Lunchtime Crafting video today, I followed the #tgifc381 sketch:

Coming Home for Holidays & EVERY Day

“If I ever go looking for my heart’s desire again, I shouldn’t look any further than my own backyard.” – Dorothy of Oz

Since there is “No Place Like Home”, I have two fun fold (and fairly simple) cards to share with you today using the Stampin’ Up! Coming Home bundle (which is retiring SOON!):

Use the tree and hill die (shown below) to cut off the top third of the front of your side-fold card, then stamp the houses in black on various colors of card stock, cut out and layer on the front of your card.

Coming Home Bundle

The second card is the same layout with different colors for a thoughtful welcome home card for a new neighbor:

The card opens to reveal the message, so you could change the sentiment and say “Welcome Home” for a missionary or someone coming home from a long time away.

I’ve created a .pdf tutorial for you to download with instructions and the supplies listed:

Curvy Celebrations: December 3 for Free

Introducing my December “Three for Free” kit: Featuring the Curvy Celebrations Early Release Bundle! When you order the Quite Curvy Early-Release bundle (from the January-June Catalog) OR the Quite Curvy Variety bundle (which includes the limited-release Curvy Christmas stamp set and Classic Christmas Designer Series Paper), I will send you a .pdf tutorial for THREE fabulous cards AND the supplies to create those cards in the mail!

Whether you are a “simple stamper” or a “sensational stamper”, you’ll find yourself reaching for these new stamping supplies when you want to send a sweet card or greeting! These are two extra ideas for you:

This next card is a mash-up of card elements I borrowed from other cards I had seen:

  • The label (from the Wild Rose Dies) was a lovely background for the spray of flowers
  • Embossing the flowers on colored card stock
  • Taking the colors from the Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper
  • Using two of the curvy edge dies brings a lot of movement
  • Wrapping the ribbon around the top layers in the center of the card made me happy

I hope this Curvy Bundle ends up on your list in December…or put it on your wish list for Santa!

New at SU!: Be Merry Card & Bag

Warm Holiday Wishes~ We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with Holiday Crafting ideas to share with you!

During GIFTING season, use your stampin’ supplies to package a pretty present:

Adding a card to the outside of a gift bag dresses it up and this one really rings with good cheer.

Did you know Stampin’ Up!’s “Tis the Season” Designer Series Paper (DSP) has patterns that match many of the stamps in our Holiday Catalog that don’t have their own coordinating papers? While the jingle bell paper is perfect for the Cherish The Season bundle, I paired it with the Banner Year bundle and it’s petite holly image.

To make the tab to hang the card from: you’ll need a piece of 2-1/2′ x 5-1/2″ Designer Series Paper and the Classic Label Punch: Push the paper all the way into the punch (with the edge of the punch lining up with the short edge of the paper) and punch all the way across until the other edge of the paper lining up with the other side of the punch. Adhere the *top* of the Designer Series Paper to the bag with Tear & Tape, leaving the punched side unattached so as to slide your card through.

NOTE: The card needs to open from the top hinge to be able to hang from the tab!

Hop along to Rochelle’s post for MORE MERRY crafting, but before you go, tell me what you learned here!
