Scallops are fancy, flirty, and FUN…even on a BOX in THREE different sizes!

The Scalloped Christmas Cheer dies are fabulous with or without the coordinating stamp set, so before learning about the boxes, please appreciate how adorable a shaped card is in scallops and shimmery specialty paper and the matching stamps:

Using the scalloped rectangles on top of a box is just as cute, and today’s tutorial uses the three largest dies to create these gift boxes. They would be adorable for party favors, birthday parties, and gifts for any holiday!

The video tutorial (below) will teach you the basics of making these boxes, and you may click to print a .pdf tutorial with the measurements for each size of box (and the layering measurements):
When you need to put a layer on top of the rectangles, here’s a guide ~ The white layer is the size which fits inside the “stitched” detail of the die cut image, while the red layer will cover the stitching. Layering them together gives a different look entirely!

You could make a smaller layer for inside the stitching detail by cutting the layer 1/4″ smaller, as well. This image is on the printed .pdf tutorial above, so you can have all the information in one place.
What will you make boxes for?
