Gable treat box with window featuring Stampin’ Up!®️ Silly Old Bear, Winnie the Pooh

100 Years of Pooh Bear: Window Treat Box

October 5, 2026October 5, 2026Leave a comment

Did you know that everyone’s favorite “silly old bear” officially turns 100 years old on October 14th? While the character appeared first in a poetry book by A.A. Milne entitled When We Were Very Young a few years earlier, the classic storybook Winnie the Pooh was published on October 14, 1926, making Pooh Bear a centenarian this month!

I shared a gable treat box previously with this cuddly bear who now appears in the Stampin’ Up!®️ Silly Old Bear Suite Collection, and then I figured out how to make a window in the box, so naturally needed to share the instructions.

With a video walk-through AND a printable tutorial, YOU can make this, too!

Use ANY of the 2026-2028 In Colors from the Gingham Gallery Designer Series Paper (OR the Barely Blush gingham print that is included in the Silly Old Bear Designer Series Paper included in the suite). This version shows it in the Golden Glow color, filled with a yummy-for-your-tummy:

Print Window Box Tutorial

Now that you’ve printed the tutorial, here are a few close-ups of the box. Golden Glow is the PERFECT hue for this bear, so you don’t even have to color him in:

You could bake sweet treat or fill it with Bit-O-Honey candies… or curate a non-sweet treat such as a spool of ribbon, embellishments, liquid glue, and a few pieces of chocolate, which would delight any crafter!

Doing a “Fall Market” with friends? Package your handmade goodies in the White Gable Boxes to make them irresistible.

The video mentioned TWO other “treats” for paper crafters:

Winnie the Pooh Gable Treat Box, Stampin’ Up!®️ Silly Old Bear Suite

Pooh Bear Gable Treat Box

August 17, 2026August 17, 2026Leave a comment

A charming package gives a gift an air of delightful anticipation, and what could be sweeter than a Silly Old Bear and his honey pot?

We used to carefully flatten our lunch boxes (which were a larger version of this one) when we attended Stampin’ Up!®️ “Convention” years ago at the Salt Palace…they were ideal for stamping on and using as gift wrapping! Now we have White Gable Boxes which are food safe and perfectly sized for a cupcake or small treat (6-1/4″ x 4″ x 2-1/2″) …and each one is just a dollar (comes in a package of 10).

Wrap a 2″ x 12″ strip of patterned paper around the box and cover the gap on the front with a focal point (I added an embossed plaid on the diagonal for Pooh’s background). Simple and adorable.

Assembling the boxes: Gable Boxes come flat, but once you’ve adorned your box as you wish, open the box, fold in the U-shaped flap first, then the sides. Finally, push in the large tab and it will pop back into box shape. Put your treat/gift in the top and pinch the scallop handle together, sliding it into the slot on each slanted side.

Think baby showers, birthday drop-offs, class treats = these are your go-to boxes!

Inside Flip Flap Homemade Sweetness Mini Accordion Album Stampin’ Up!®️

New at SU! ~ Flip Flap Brag Book for Grandma

April 15, 2026April 15, 20263 Comments

If you’ve seen the Flip-Flaps in the Stampin’ Up!®️ store and wondered “What are those for?” you’ll be happy you popped in to visit the April New at SU! Blog Hop! These demonstrator artists from around the world have created a variety of projects to help you discover how much FUN Flip-Flaps can be in paper crafting.

Flip Flaps were originally designed to be used on Scrapbook layouts to give you the opportunity to add more photos to a page ~ check out this video from last year so see how they extend your memory keeping options!

On to my little jar of joy project!

The brag book every grandmother needs, this mini-accordion album is another adorable project using the Filled with Sweetness Bundle and one you could create for Mother’s Day gifting this year!

Stampin’ Up!®️ Homemade Sweetness Mini Accordion Album, Filled with Sweetness

I die cut a lining for the front and back of the jar from the Homemade Sweetness Designer Series Paper to make it more sturdy and adhered to the first 3″ x 3″ Flip Flap to the heart jar cover on the inside:

Stampin’ Up!®️ Mini Album using Homemade Sweetness Designer Series Paper, Filled with Sweetness bundle and Flip Flaps

After that, I used 6 more Flip Flaps (seven total for the album and there are 12 in each pack). Simply fold over the self-adhesive flap and adhere it to the next one so that all the squares are stacked on top of each other. The last Flip Flap will need to be adhered to the back cover with Tear & Tape adhesive.

You can add photos to both sides and I added a few inserts/additions fussy cut from the patterned paper and one using the Wooly Friends Bundle:

The album is almost as cute as my grandkids, don’t you agree? If you are ready to make a few of these for Mother’s Day, you’re in luck ~ starting today (4/15) through Friday, you can earn double rewards! (Check your account to make sure you are OPTED IN to earn rewards)

New at SU! ~ Berry Sweet Bag with Online Exclusives

March 18, 2026March 18, 20264 Comments

Let’s take a simple treat bag and give it a little glow-up… or should I say a gussie-up! 🍓

For our March New at SU! Hop, we are turning your attention to the Online Exclusive products that Stampin’ Up! releases every other month—including March! My project started with the Hearts Gusseted Treat Bag and I dressed it up with the Filled with Sweetness bundle and Homemade Sweetness Designer Series Paper, which I’ve been featuring for a few weeks (scroll back through for ideas when you have the time).

This bag is generously sized (4″ x 6″ x 1-1/4″) and could hold a sweet treat like Strawberry Pretzels, a berry cute kitchen towel, or a Berry Burst Ink Pad and spool of matching Ribbon! It’s proof that packaging can be just as meaningful as what’s inside.

The Stampin’ Up!®️ release of new products every other month feels a bit like opening a fresh batch of inspiration on a regular rhythm. If you haven’t already, it’s worth making a habit of browsing those new supplies. You never know when you’ll find a hidden gem that sparks your next project—just like this bundle did for me.

As you hop along, may this inspire you to look at your basics in a new way: The shelf-life of these treat bags extends beyond February with a little love shared anytime during the year in a fresh & fruity way!

Here are the faces of a few of the New at SU! Design Team members from the U.S.A.~ L to R: Amanda (Did You Stamp Today?), Rachel (The Joy of Stampin’ with Rachel), Loni- ME! (Creative Juice by Loni) and Diane (24/7 Inkspiration). We met up at OnStage last week (Stampin’ Up!®️’s convention) to snap a quick photo to say Hi!

Keep hopping to see more Online Exclusive inspiration from those ladies and others… there’s plenty of sweetness ahead! 🍓✨

New at SU! Woven Heart Baskets

January 21, 2026January 21, 202610 Comments

Our worldwide New at SU! design team is back to inspire you with new stamping ideas for 2026 and we’re starting off with the theme of “Handcrafted Hearts” 💕 I’ve been wanting to make these adorable “danish woven heart baskets” with the Everyday Arches dies, so this is the moment:

My mom taught me to make these when I was a young girl, and truthfully, I never really got the hang of them until NOW. To help YOU, I’ve created a short How-To video:

The woven pattern is so lovely with the two-tone card stock that I didn’t want anything covering it, so opted for a small heart punched from the new Pastels Shimmer paper and a mini-banner with the message that matches.

You’ll have all the heart eyes 😍 when you see more works of heart made by the other folks, and remember to PIN or SAVE your favorites:

Waterfall Gift Card Folio Tutorial

December 1, 2025Leave a comment

When my cousin Valarie asked if I could make a Gift Card Folio like one she had seen on a social media, I watched the video she shared and said ABSOLUTELY!

Stampin' Up! Modern Christmas Gift Card Folio

This is a larger version of a classic interactive card design called a “Waterfall Card”, and this one presents FIVE GIFT CARDS (or would be an excellent base for a mini photo album). After a few tries and tweaks, I was satisfied with the result – give this a try! You can follow along with the video instructions below 🖥️

Inside the gift card folio featuring Stampin' Up! Modern Christmas Designer Series Paper

I’ve used the Modern Christmas Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!® to embellish this folio, though I show a few other versions made with the retired “Season of Green & Gold” DSP in the video. The black, white & gold is just so elegant, and of course, you can choose any colors/patterns/paper that fit your occasion.

TIP: Add gift cards to each of the five panels with mini glue dots, or use the panels and both sides of the folder for photos of a event to remember!

When you pull the tab, the “waterfall” begins to cascade, and a “secret message” appears:

Maximizing the use of materials was important to me, so this version uses a full sheet of 12″ x 12″ card stock (and a full sheet of 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, if you cut it wisely), plus a few extra pieces. WATCH the tutorial to see HOW TO CUT the card stock!

Measurements:

11-7/8″ x 9″ Basic Black card stock, scored at 4″ and 8″
12″ x 3″ Basic Black card stock, scored at 1″, 2″, 3″, 4″ and 5″
6″ x 1-1/2″ Basic Black card stock, scored at 1″ and 4-7/8″
5 pieces of card stock 2-1/2″ x 3-3/4″
Designer Series Paper: TWO 8-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ and TWO 8-3/4″ x 3-5/8″
Gold Foil sheet: 1-1/2″ x 9-1/2″ for the belly band
Scraps of card stock for label, scraps of Designer Series Paper for embellishments inside.

Making paper crafting easy for you is my goal. What did you think about this tutorial? Please leave a comment and tell me what you’ll use this idea for (comments are found at the top of the post, next to the posting date).

New at SU!- Simply Christmas Notecards

November 19, 2025November 19, 20255 Comments

Christmas is the time to be joyful – not stressed – so the New at SU! Design Team is here to help simplify your holiday crafting!

Ideally, a handmade Christmas card or gift lets someone know they are loved, but if time is running out, these demonstrators have united around the world to bring you quick & easy projects. Whenever I need a bunch of cards in a hurry, I turn to Stampin’ Up!® Note Cards & Envelopes because they are already cut, scored and ready to decorate…and they are only $10 US for a set of 20 cards and 20 envelopes!

The “recipe” for this card is as simple as 1, 2, 3:

Cut a layer of Basic White card stock 3″ x 4.5″ and add a 3″ square piece of patterned paper to the top (I used Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper because it has gold foiling, which makes it fancy).
Stamp a sentiment in the lower right corner, then add a 4″ strip of ribbon, adhered to the back.
Attach layer to card front with Stampin’ dimensionals!

You can then tie a knot or bow around the ribbon on the front left (optional):

Make your card MERRIER by stamping on the flap of the envelope (photo at top), and you are ready to mail (or gift) Christmas Wishes!

These make lovely gifts, and you could make 5 sets of four cards in less than 30 minutes, just wrap them up in a ribbon. Tip: Switch out “Merry” for “Thanks” and they’ll be sending one to you!

As you jump to the next “Simply Christmas” project, make sure to save or pin your favorites: You could even create a “Simple Stamping” folder for all these incredible ideas.

Christmas Ornament in a Flip-Flap Card

November 5, 2025November 5, 20251 Comment

There have been a lot of MAILABLE GIFT IDEAS shared on my website this year, thus, it’s fitting that we add an ornament featuring the large Gold Hoops (also from my store) that could be hung on a Christmas tree. Awesomely, Stampin’ Up!’s new 4″ x 4″ FLIP-FLAPS allow the ornament to double as the decoration for the front of the card, and I have a video tutorial to help you learn how to make one!

By folding the Flip Flap pocket over the front of the card, you can slide the ornament inside and lift the flap to open and get it out. NOTE: In my tutorial, I adhered the flip flap to the inside layer, but you’ll want to adhere it to the back panel inside the card instead, so the ornament doesn’t fall out until you open the flap!

Using the Modern Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper and “A Child is Born” stamp set was an elegant combination, don’t you agree?

This next version was inspired by an ornament my teammate Angaleen taught us in our November team virtual Stamp & Chat meeting, and uses the North Pole Delivery Specialty Designer Series Paper, which includes printed die cuts:

Here’s how it looks when you open it up, and the back side of the ornament:

I didn’t use the Gold Hoop on this version, but will on the last one. Use any punch or die for your leaves. The recently retired “Bough Punch” was on my desk, so that’s what I grabbed for both the North Pole card and the next one, featuring my favorite Designer Series Paper from last year (and still available online), Nests of Winter.

The birds were fussy cut from the patterned paper and the sentiments came from the Traditional Labels bundle. I added some Cherry Cobbler delicate details from the Branching Out dies along the top and bottom of the Flip-Flap for this card (TIP: Add a piece of adhesive sheet to the card stock BEFORE you die cut them out, to make the berry branch stick without mess!)

Here is the card opened:

Ready to craft along with me? Watch the video (and rest assured, I usually don’t have such a beastly time with Stampin’ Seal + !!!). THANKS IN ADVANCE for choosing to shop with me! It allows me to have the time and resources to share more ideas with you without charging for the tutorials.

If you find these instructions useful, please shop by clicking any of the links to the products listed above! Another way to show your support: Scroll back to the comment section at the top of the post near the date and leave a COMMENT!

FINAL TIP for this card idea: Score your 4″ x 4″ Flip Flap at 4-1/4″ (the score will be close to the side with adhesive) before you attach it to the inside back panel of your card, so it folds over the front and lays flat.

Keep your creative juices flowing! 🍊🧡– Loni Spendlove

New at SU! – Gingerbread Gifts

October 15, 2025October 15, 20252 Comments

The theme for the October New at SU! blog hop is “No Tricks – Just Treats!” and I’m sharing a Gingerbread Man Tag for a cute Holiday Gift Idea for neighbors, co-workers or anyone who deserved a jolly bit of baking!

Crafters LOVE to give presents, and the details make each gift delightful. This creative idea will have the recipient “baking spirits bright” for a delicious treat hot out of the oven!

The Gingerbread Man bundle includes a die that cuts a cookie that folds in half to form a card. I decided that when it opens, it should look good enough to eat (or rather, HAS been eaten):

I have a few TIPS to make this project easy to prep for making multiple tags:

The 1/2″ strips of Basic White card stock you have left over from making card layers are perfect for the icing squiggles: Remember to put a strip of adhesive sheet on the back of that strip before die cutting, and each squiggle can do one wrist and one ankle on the gingerbread man.
Including the Gingerbread man, you can get all the pieces cut in 3 passes through the Cut & Emboss Machine, if you follow the format below.
The 3rd picture shows all the pieces cut and ready! You’ll end up with two candy canes: one with a white base and one with a red base.

I did add a little sponging of Crumb Cake ink around my cookie with a blending brush, and used another 1/2″ strip for the banner:

The festive hot pads with a POCKET can be found on Amazon HERE for less than $2 each and have some , and the skinny spatulas HERE. The Betty Crocker Gingerbread Cookie mix was at my local grocery store, but you could substitute a Sugar Cookie mix, which is often found at the Dollar Tree (or whatever mix is available in your area.

Before you move on to another tasty treat stamped by one of our dazzling New at SU! design team, I’ve added the supplies needed for this project to the end of this post to help you get started on your holiday gifting quickly (U.S. crafters only), and I’d appreciate hearing from you if you liked (or copied) this idea ~ you can leave a comment at the top of my post, near the date.

Now lick your fingers and press the GO button for “Gathering Together” treats by Karen, your next stop along the sweet tour:
