Vellum is beautiful, but a few of the challenges with it are:
Stamping and coloring on it (because of the coating on the paper, it takes forever to dry), and
Adhering it so you can’t see the adhesive.
For this card, I die cut a frame to adhere the vellum to and colored it on the back side with Stampin’ Blends, which don’t leave streaks and dry quickly because they are alcohol based:
As paper crafters, we hate wasting paper so I have another tip: Make TWO cards at a time to most effectively use your card stock. You can cut the frame from the center of one color and use the outside edge as a matte for your Designer Series Paper for the other card (watch video below):
The In the Moment stamp set works perfectly with the New Horizons Designer Series Paper and with these sentiments, I can imagine sending it to a friend to encourage them to take some time off from the hustle-and-grind. They are excellent reminders that self-care is also taking time to unwind!
Here’s a short HOW-TO video and you can order the supplies from my Stampin’ Store by clicking the links after that:

The TGIF Challenge last Friday got me brewing up an idea to share, and today I did a live video on my FB page to demonstrate this unique card fold using the Delightful Tag Topper punch to tie it closed!
As long as I was crafting, I wanted to use some new products from the January-June Mini Catalog and Sale-a-Bration that both start tomorrow (January 4, 2022), so here’s the first card I demonstrated using the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper:
You can make this card with just a little space to write in under the top flap, or add a card that opens inside so you can compose a long love letter.
Then I flipped the card to a side closure and showed off the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper that you can choose as a free Sale-a-Bration product with a $50 order. This cheerful paper coordinates with the Rainbow of Happiness stamp set in the J-J Mini Catalog, so of course you’ll want both!
This one is also a gift card holder, which would make anyone’s day more sunny:
I’ll post the supplies here tomorrow once the catalogs go live, but meanwhile, you can watch the video tutorial below or on my page:

You don’t have to be able to draw to be artistic: Rubber stamps are the tools that give you the creativity without the time and commitment of becoming a master!
The Hand-Penned Petals suite has stamps that appear hand-drawn, with two step-stamping images to “fill in” colors and hand-penned greetings.
Pair the stamps with the coordinating dies and Designer Series Paper and you’ll be creating keepsakes your friends will treasure for years to come. When you choose the suite of products, it includes the stamp set, dies, Designer Series Paper and Genial Gems embellishments!
TIPS: Create Customized Designer Series Paper to go with any project! Color areas or patterns of the paper with Stampin’ Blends, Stampin’ Write Markers, or watercoloring. This works especially well with black and white patterned papers

Add an extra package of Hand-Penned 12″x12″ Designer Series Paper to your order for 15% off in July so you can keep crafting with easy coordination all year long.
We’re back with project ideas from around the globe to help you use your favorite Designer Series Paper! And what perfect timing, as many of our pretty patterned papers are ON SALE this month (July 2021) for 15% off:
While the Expressions in Ink paper is a SPECIALTY paper (and not on sale), I wanted you to see how gorgeous it is with the gold veins running through the watercolor images, so take a look:
This is a fancy fold that shows off BOTH sides of your DSP and you can use as a card (portrait) OR a pocket card (landscape).
To make the card, begin with a 5-1/4″ x 11-3/4″ piece of Designer Series Paper and score it along the long side at 1-3/4″, 4-3/4″ and 7-3/4″. Next, accordion fold it so that you have the piece you want on top, then adhere the back of the largest panel to a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of card stock for a sturdy matte around your paper.
Here is the card open. I did tie the ribbon around the smallest panel and adhere it down so the ribbon won’t slide off, but you can leave the front flap free, if you’d like.
The Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper also coordinates with the 2021-2023 In-Colors, so you can mix and match the designs and colors!
For this version, the measurements are the same, but I tied the ribbon all the way around all the layers of DSP before attaching it to the card stock matte, creating two “pockets” where you can slide the card you’ll write in in the top pocket and a gift card into the shorter pocket.
The photos really don’t do the sparkle justice, but I hope you get the feel for what you could create with it! I’ll list the supplies used at the bottom of this post.
Now it’s time to hop over to Linda’s blog to see what she’s created with the Hand-Penned paper~
Paper Crafters give quilters (with their stash of fabric) a run for their money with our collection of pretty patterned paper. We love it even more when it’s on sale! Now through August 2nd you can get a 15% discount on select Designer Series Paper from the 2021–2022 Annual Catalog.
When I need inspiration on color combinations, I like to take a cue from the colors used on Designer Series Paper. It’s also the perfect starting point, or finishing touch, when you want to create quick and simple cards, need that extra detail on an over-the-top card, or the special accent for your memory keeping.
Sale ends August 2nd, but order early to avoid backorders on these popular styles.
Happy to have you here as our international blog hop team of demonstrators is showing you how delightful the products from the Stampin’ Up! January-June Mini Catalog are to craft with!
If your children (or grandchildren) have contributed to the BILLIONS of times “Baby Shark” has been viewed or listened to, you know the frenzy that surrounds this phenomenom
When my niece was born, a school teacher asked her older brother what they had names is new baby sister. He was struggling to pronounce “Charlotte” so he told the teacher his baby sister was “Sharky”. Naturally, she needed a SHARK FRENZY card to celebrate her recent age advancement (birthday)!
I noticed that the “Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo” could also be sung as “Happy Birthday to You” I borrowed the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set (the “to you” came from a past Paper Pumpkin set…they come in handy at times like these!) for the inside of this double-easel card.
To make a double easel card, make card base 11″ x 4-1/4″, scored at 5-1/2″ and a second piece of card stock 4-1/4″ x 5″ scored at 1″ and 3″ along the longer edge. Adhere the 1″ flap of the smaller piece to the bottom front edge of the card (with the score along the bottom edge) to create a double easel card base, then add layers of Designer Series Paper, embossed backgrounds or stamped images to embellish your card.
Combined with the Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper, you’ll SEA a lot of crossover versatility with the Shark Frenzy bundle!
Your demonstrator can help you order the supplies needed for a Sharky card, or if you don’t have a demonstrator, I’ve shared the supplies I used below (U.S. customers) Now bounce on over to Suzanne’s website for another darling animal to craft with: Kangaroo & Company!
You aren’t imagining things: Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-Bration is a little shorter this year…but don’t worry: There will be 2nd Sale-a-Bration in July and August, with all NEW (limited time) products to earn! That means you only have 3 days left to snag the wonderful freebies from the current event, because it ends February 28th. I’ll share a few of the SAB products I’ve been crafting with:
Darling Donkeys has been neck-and-neck with Berry Blessings for most popular Sale-a-Bration stamp set! Do you have this one yet? I layered him on an embossed piece of vellum for a fabulous birthday card.
When you find a card pattern that will work with all of your Designer Series Paper, make a big STACK of them! That’s what I did with the Flower & Field DSP and used this card for swapping at our recent StampFest events. It’s an inexpensive card, since the paper was free!
Finally, this was ONE of the cards I demonstrated in my Lunchtime Live Crafting on my FB page this past Monday showcasing The Touch of Ink stamp set and the Oh, So Ombre paper …with plain and patterned paper that will pair well with any stamp, it’s a great choice to expand your choices for projects with Bermuda Bay, Rococo Rose, Granny Apple Green or Blackberry Bliss (shown). Be sure to watch the video to see the other projects I demonstrated!
Now RUN (don’t walk) to get your order in before February 28th so you can choose a free Sale-a-Bration reward (like one of these) with each $50 you add to your cart before they are gone forever!

Welcome to our “Warm & Cozy” Blog Hop: The best way to view these projects from talented demonstrators around the world is wrapped in a blanket with a warm cup of cocoa!
Once you have hopped through all the blogs, you may either feel like crafting, OR having a nap. Either way, we’ve got you covered:
My project is a sign to hang from your door when a baby (or yourself) are sleeping! If you are a new mom, you should take this advice: “SLEEP WHEN YOUR BABY SLEEPS”. You need the rest, and during the winter, we need more sleep. Let this notice keep it quiet during that important time.
The photo-realistic textures of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper felt cabin-cozy for my Naptime Door Sign and with the Playful Alphabet dies, you can say what you want to say! TIP:If you happen to drop a die in the garbage can while crafting, grab a magnet to fish it out (not saying that happened or anything…)
I made it the same size as a card (5.5″ x 4.25″) so you can mail it to a friend who just had a baby.
I’ve been really enjoying the new Water Painters for watercoloring…it’s so relaxing to color! Doesn’t the mother and baby fox from the Wildly Happy stamp set just make you want to curl up for a snooze?
All the supplies I used for this Warm & Cozy project are listed below and please leave me a comment before following the hop over to Terry’s blog to see what she’s cooking up with the Heartwarming Hugs bundle!
