Come To Gather Suite Spotlight
The Come To Gather Suite evokes all the warmth, texture, and colors of autumn with leaves, plaids, pumpkins, and feathers. Like cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves they combine to make the perfect flavor of fall. This suite is ideal for cards, decor, memory keeping and gift giving.
Need a hostess gift or a touch of decor? Create this gorgeous tag and add it to a real mini pumpkin or make it last from year to year by adding it to a ceramic or fabric pumpkin. It’s a sure way to share your gratitude in style.

What’s New: Birds of A Feather
You must be as excited about holiday crafting as I am, since you are joining our blog hop with this creative group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world! We are hoppin’ with ideas to share with you from the upcoming Holiday Catalog!
I’m giving you a “sneak beak” at one stamp set you’ll certainly want in your crafting “bag of chicks”: the Birds of a Feather stamp set.
The colors are Crushed Curry, Early Espresso and Cajun Craze with Very Vanilla. It was fun to use the Stampin’ Blends to color the cook, too.
This could be the (tur)KEY to a lovely Thanksgiving table setting: Simply replace the greeting with the name of a guest and set it above their plate to indicate where they should sit for the meal of the year!
The perfect complimenting stamp to the Birds of a Feather set is the All Wired Up background stamp from the annual catalog, don’t you agree?
With a cute bird for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas AND Valentines (and a corresponding greeting for each), you’ll FLY to this set when you need to make something adorable this holiday season: Put it on your wish list for September 4th, when the Holiday catalog goes live!
Before you fly on to Anke’s blog (or back to Margriet’s), feel free to leave me a comment or message~ It always makes my day to know if you liked what I shared! And here’s a bonus alternate card using the same layout and stamp set, with different colors and images for sending a little love any day of the year:
Diane Browning – 247inkspiration
Heather Cooper – Playingwithpapercrafting
Pia Gerhardt – stampwithscraproomboom
Tricia Butts – Triciastampingcreations
Sharon Burkert – Sharonburkert
Margriet Siekman – Creatiefmarsie

Entering the Fall-iday Zone
With the kickoff of the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog yesterday, it’s pumpkin-spice and everything nice for papercrafting dreamers!
When it comes to stamps, there are styles for every personal preference from elegant to whimsical in the holiday catty, but today I wanted to share a few hidden gems you will want not want to miss!
These mini pizza boxes (item #144645) are perfect for tiny treats, cookies and 3×3 cards (3×3 envelopes are also available~ item #145829). These are sure to be extremely popular, so order early!
Customers often ask if we sell Stampin’ Write Markers individually~ and while we don’t usually, I always snag them when they are offered in a two-pack like the Old Olive and Real Red Markers for just $7 a pair (item #145059).
You may miss these acetate card boxes on first glance because they are clear~ but they are AMAZING for cards with dimension or a set of cards as a gift or just to use as pretty packaging and with 10 in a package for $6.50, you’ll find plenty of reasons to fill them up! (item 144628).
Finally, there is a fabulous opportunity to earn this exclusive Merry Patterns stamp set FREE just by hosting a party before October 31, 2017 that totals $300 or more! This is in *addition* to the Stampin’ Rewards you earn as a hostess and can be a workshop, customer or online order. I have only a few open dates left for the next few months, so book your party soon (at your house or mine or online!)
More 25 Year Celebration
The first winner of my Anniversary Giveaway is Marni Maxwell who will receive the vintage “Golden Rule Days” stamp set for commenting on my August 23rd post: 1992 was a great year with good friends…and Marni is now part of my Sprinkled Ink Team!
Let’s keep the celebration rolling with more gifts for my loyal customers! For every 5 orders I receive between now and September 14th (my actual start date), I’ll send one of those customers a set of foil snowflakes from the holiday catalog:
…and for every 25 orders, one of those customers will receive the Watercolor Christmas stamp set:
This stamp set is designed to coordinate with the Watercolor Wishes project kit:
The font is so beautiful on this set, you’ll want to use it for other crafts as well and looks lovely stamped in ombre colors and paired with other holiday catalog products, too!
I appreciate your support of my business~ It’s truly my pleasure to share creativity with you and watch you make it a joyful part of YOUR life! Thank you for inspiring me.
A Carol of Christmas
While I am a Scrooge when it comes to Christmas in the stores before we celebrate Thanksgiving, I believe one can listen to Christmas Carols All. Year. Long. It helps remind us to have goodwill toward men during every season, not just the holidays!
If you are needing a little Christmas cheer in your heart (and in your craft room), you’ll be happy to know that you can pre-order one of the best bundles in the holiday catalog a month early:
I love the classic look of this bundle of products with Basic Black and Very Vanilla:
Gold embossing powder and gold foil sheets really shine against the dark background for a quick and elegant card!
Next I switched the vanilla and black layers and pulled out the new Sheet Music background stamp to add the musical element. The embossed the ornaments add more pizazz on the Deck the Halls card:
By getting an early start on your Christmas Creations, you’ll have a much merrier holiday, so visit my Stampin’ store to order using my August 2017 Host Code AVHZ6WQH ~ and remember to redeem your BONUS DAYS coupon(s) if you earned them in July!
The End…or the Beginning?
“What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.” ~ T. S. Eliot
I took the Christmas tree and decor down this morning and my oldest daughter left to fly back to where she lives back east…and while it was a little sad to leave the holidays behind and say goodbye to one of my best friends, there were some things that perked me up: a clean living room and the knowledge that she is moving forward with her life and becoming a wonderful woman! I guess it’s true that when you walk out of a room through one door, you are really walking into a new room and a new adventure!
The same is true when we transition from one “season” at Stampin’ Up! into another: While we hate to say goodbye to some of our old favorites, we are delighted to say hello to fresh, new products! But before the Holiday Catalog exits, let me remind you that TODAY is the last chance to order a few stamps that you may want to snag before it’s too late:
Too busy during the holidays to send cards? Well, if your weather is like ours in Utah today (-2 degrees this morning at 6 a.m.!!) then you could easily create cards from the Winter Memories stamp set (Holiday Catalog pg 19) like the one above created by the talented Pam Clyde!
Or looking forward, send a valentine, which is what we do, since we are the SpendLOVE’s! This LOVEly card uses a unique color palette: Pool Party, Real Red and Calypso Coral and the Affection Collection stamp set (HC pg 35) and was made at Jill Olsen’s stamp day in Dixie:
Finally, if you need any Champagne Glimmer paper (127885) for upcoming projects, order it today too…for while I’m hoping it makes it into the next catalog coming out in July, it’s not carried over into the Spring Catalog, as far as I can see….
Back to Crafting with Affection Collection
I am almost put together in my craft room after the move, but I had to create a card for a Holiday Catalog Swap, so I ignored the piles around me and found a few hours to get them finished. I used the new “Affection Collection” stamp set and came up with this card, which I then realized looked a little bit like the sketch challenge #213 on Create with Connie and Mary:
As I was making the card, it needed a little bling, so I added the Silver Glimmer Paper…did you know that you can color it using classic ink refills and an Aqua Painter? That’s how I made the pink glimmer heart!
It felt good to be creating again. I think I packed up my brain cells when we moved, though, and haven’t yet unpacked the box where I put them 🙂
UPDATED 8/15/12: Wahoo! Thanks, ladies, for picking my card as one of your top 3!
Stuff You Want to Know About
So MOVING is over…but unpacking has just begun at my new house! We joke that we threw away half of our stuff as we packed, but I’m finding that I’m throwing away even MORE stuff as I unpack!! Though Stampin’ Up! convention was 3 weeks ago, I haven’t even unpacked my shopping bag from the Memento Mall yet 😦
I am a little late getting August started because of the move and there are a LOT of great stampin’ opportunities I wanted to share with you! First of all, I’m always looking for friends to join my Stampin’ Family and when you purchase the Starter Kit (now just $99!) in August, you will get one of these cool projects to make FREE:
HOW COOL IS THAT? We could make it together and I’d love to share the fun of SU! with you!! Ready to join me? Click here!
Next, the HOLIDAY CATALOG is now available…just click on the image below (or in the left column) to download! It’s packed with amazing new products for Halloween, Fall and Christmas. Now would be a great time to plan a party with friends and get started on your gift-giving (hint, hint).
