NEW Catalog: What You Need to Know!

Some crafters waited up to place their order at 12:01 am this morning because they were so excited to get their hands on new colors, new stamps and new paper from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog! You may be glad you waited, because there are a few details you need to know, and I’m here to help guide you.

First~ shipping may be slower than usual. Order early if you have an event or supply that’s running low!

After a record-setting April, SU! employees, staff and even executives have been all-hands-on-deck to pick and package your orders, and as of today (May 2nd), shipping times are 4-12 business days. That will get quicker over the next week as they complete orders from the Free Shipping day and catch back up, but I thank you in advance for your patience while waiting for your order.

Second~ in addition to all the amazing new products, there is also a new KIT available!

The Confetti Birthday Kit will have you shaking things up in your creativity!

Third~ There are a few new things available online only!

The Mini Cut & Emboss machine in BOHO BLUE is available to customers while supplies last.

Grid paper in the new In Colors to keep your stamping area clean.

A new SUITE in SPANISH (as well as English): Texturas Naturales

Finally~ If you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, there is a new peek at the MAY Exploring In Color kit AND there is now an ADD ON that you’ll want to include in your next order!

The Add On kit is only available while supplies last and includes:

  • 18 cards, 6 each of 3 designs (Folded card size: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″)
  • 18 coordinating envelopes
  • Coordinating colors: Boho Blue, Copper Clay, Daffodil Delight, Moody Mauve, MossyMeadow, Pebbled Path, Wild Wheat

If you are not getting a Paper Pumpkin craft kit in the mail each month, here is your opportunity to subscribe and enjoy a happy hour of paper crafting each month! May’s kit is called “EXPLORING IN COLOR”:

WHEW! That was a lot of information, and I hope it helps you not to miss a thing! Happy Shopping!

Rain or Shine- a Fancy Fun-Fold Card

Faux (pronounced FO) means “an imitation” and in my own way of thinking, it also means “a better idea than the original”. This is certainly true of this unique card fold, because this “fake” version is so much easier than the one with a lot of tricky cuts and scores!

While I used the Rain or Shine suite for my card, I look forward to seeing how YOU use this easy tutorial:

Did you catch that the February Paper Pumpkin craft-kit-in-the-mail “Sunshine & Smiles” coordinates with the “Rain or Shine” Suite that is full of the cutest critters? Make sure you are subscribed by February 10th for this kit that will create 9 radiant cards with a peek-through component!

PLUS, there is a coordinating add-on die duo you can pre-order for the February Paper Pumpkin kit…while supplies last:

Are you ready to spread some love? That was my first thought when I saw the Global Design Project Color Challenge, since those colors just happened to be out on my desk anyway:

You may notice an image that isn’t in the Heartfelt stamp set (the heart outline that says “with love”)…that was from the January “I’ll Bee Yours” Paper Pumpkin kit and coordinates with the Heart Punch Bundle, and it felt perfect for the project:IMG_4394-(W)

Give My Regards to Broadway

My husband and I recently experienced New York City for the first time with our daughter and it was a surprisingly wonderful experience. From biking around Central Park to the Statue of Liberty, we painted the town for 3 days (and I found some creative juice)!

My favorite part had to be Broadway, though. I began my college career with the intent of studying musical theater, so that has a place in my heart. We only had time to see one show and we chose “Dear Evan Hansen”.

Do NOT miss the opportunity to see this incredible musical (by the same guys who wrote Greatest Showman) if you get the chance: But don’t make the mistake I did of going without a box of kleenex. And I *ugly cried*.

Today I wanted to pay tribute to that amazing vacation with a stamp, of course! So here’s one you are going to love playing with: The Broadway Bound suite from Stampin’ Up!

This project was also inspired by the the #tgifc163 sketch challenge:

You can download the tutorial for my Broadway Birthday Bag HERE.

Know what else is TOTALLY AWESOME about the Broadway Bound suite? The June Paper Pumpkin Kit is going to coordinate with it!

Did you notice the “subscribe by” date? Yep, that’s TODAY. So if you are reading this after June 10th, you may have to cross your fingers that they have some kits left that they will post for sale around June 26th…but you still have to be a subscriber to order them, so what are you waiting for?

Every Last Piece: Paper Pumpkin August 2017

When I opened the August Paper Pumpkin box yesterday, I decided I was going to finish the projects and use Every. Single. Piece.

Once I finished making a few of the cards as shown in the kit, I got a little more creative (as shared yesterday) and finished off the cards but still had die cuts and leaf stickers left over! So I grabbed some whisper white card stock, some painter’s tape, some sponge daubers and 3 ink pads: Peekabook Peach, Pool Party and Pear Pizazz (not included in the kit). Here’s what I did:

I taped the edges of the paper down and used the empty die-cut pages as a stencil for sponging flowers! Add a few leaves and sponge around the edges, and when you peel back the tape, it gives the illusion of layers…pretty neat, eh?

All I had to do next was add the pre-printed sentiment die cuts and embellish with the leftover goodies: IMG_5047

All left-over leaves and flowers found their way onto the envelopes:
