What is the first sign of the changing of seasons? A holiday catalog from Stampin’ Up! of course!
Welcome to the What’s New at Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog Blog Hop! You’ve popped in (maybe from Brenda’s page?) at just the right time to enjoy some inspiring creativity from a worldwide group of demonstrators who are HOPPING with excitement to share with you.
Once I saw the Buffalo Plaid stamp on page 38 (it’s hiding, don’t miss it!), my heart skipped a beat! It doesn’t really matter what you pair with it, it’s the perfect accessory to every card. For this swap, I’m showcasing the Country Home, which is it’s kissing cousin:
I chose to stamp the plaid background on So Saffron card stock using Soft Suede ink. It’s easiest to stamp background stamps this way: Ink up your stamp as it lays FACE UP on your table, lay the card stock on top and cover with a scratch piece of paper (so your fingers don’t get inky) and rub with your hands.
The focal point is a fall arrangement from the Country Home stamp set in a weathered pitcher and colored with Stampin’ Blends: Mint Macaron, Blackberry Bliss*, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede and Cajun Craze*
(*= new colors in the Holiday catalog).
Remember to stamp in Memento Black ink when coloring with Stampin’ Blends, and I find that our Whisper White card stock is the best to color on, hands down.
If you have questions about these techniques, I’m happy to answer them! Contact your demonstrator to request a catalog or order the supplies. If you don’t have a demonstrator, you can order these products from my Stampin’ Store starting on September 5th and I’d be tickled to serve you!
Now you can hop back to Brenda’s Spirited Snowman samples or bound ahead to Karie’s Dashing Deer post:

Simply gorgeous card design. I love the contrast of the Buffalo check for the background. It really makes the focal image stand out. Beautiful coloring of the stamped image. 🙂
