New catalog, new colors, new creations…there is so much to look forward to getting your hands on since the 2022-2023 Stampin’ Up! catalog went live yesterday!

(Click on catalog image to flip through the catalog online)

The first things on my list are always the pretty new In-Colors and this year they feel fresh and vibrant! Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Starry Sky and Orchard Oasis will quickly find their way into your crafting palette.

Would you like a Color Coach to see which of your current colors they coordinate with? Download the .pdf below for creative color combinations for the new colors AND last year’s hues as they integrate with Stampin’ Up!’s core colors.

Now if your catalog wish list is longer than $125 AND you would love the new 2022-2024 In-Colors, the best deal is the May Starter Kit Special! You’ll get to choose $125 in SU! products PLUS get the new In-Color Ink Pads, 8.5″ x 11″ card stock, 6″ x 6″ designer series paper, and grid paper to match…all for just $99! HURRY! This offer is only good through May 31, 2022!

Best of all, you’ll get a discount on your future craft supplies and a community of caring, creative cohorts who love all things stamps, ink and paper as much as you do! My Sprinkled Ink team is a mix of friends who love the hobby, others who are building a business and some who just enjoy a discount. All are welcome.

Never Lose Your Mojo

Have you noticed that the Stampin’ Up! catalog(s) aren’t just “catalogs” to shop through, they are actually INSPIRATION books ~ and you can find ideas on every page for your crafting?

Take this page (p.95) of the Annual Catalog…you don’t need to have the same stamps, ink or paper to make a cute card inspired by these:

The #SUOC256 challenge this week encourages stampers to use catalog samples as sketches and create something inspired by them. This is my version:

Can you see how I followed the Whale Done card sketch? You will NEVER lose your mojo as long as you have an idea book to get your juices flowing!

Speaking of juice, the Cute Fruit photopolymer stamp set is only in our “Getting Started” brochure, so you may not have seen it yet, but it is my “stamp set of the summer”, even as summer comes to a close.

I appreciate that you can also purchase the Cute Fruit set in a collection of products (ideal for a GIFT or new stamper)!

To add shading to the pineapple, ink it up in the lightest color (Bumblebee in this case), then add some darker color ink (Cinnamon Cider) to the stamp using a sponge dauber BEFORE you stamp it. The colors will blend together beautifully.

Embrace your catalog as your IDEA BOOK and you’ll never run out of ideas!

Scavenger Hunt Winner, Friendship Card & Recipe Share!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by Saturday for either the Hostess Appreciation Breakfast or “I Spy” Catalog Reception! As promised, here is the recipe for the Overnight Apple Cinnamon French Toast served at the breakfast (from allrecipes.com with a few modifications):

 Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 (21 ounce) cans apple pie filling (or 1 quart jar of homemade apple pie filling + 3 apples, peeled and sliced)
  • 16-20 slices white bread
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

Directions

  1. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan. In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Spread the sugar mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Spread the apple pie filling evenly over the sugar mixture. Layer the bread slices on top of the filling, pressing down as you go. In a medium bowl, beat the eggs with the milk and vanilla. Slowly pour this mixture over the bread, making sure that it is completely absorbed. Cover the pan with aluminum foil and refrigerate overnight.
  3. In the morning, preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  4. Place covered pan into the oven and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 60 to 75 minutes. When done remove from oven and turn on broiler. Remove foil and drizzle maple syrup on top of the egg topping; broil for 2-3 minutes, or until the syrup begins to caramelize. Remove from the oven and let stand for 10 minutes, then cut into squares. Invert the pan onto a serving tray or baking sheet so the apple filling is on top. Serve hot.

This is the card we made at the Hostess Appreciation using the “Faux Diamonds” technique…can you see the glitter on the “yes, please” circle? It’s pretty fabulous in person! The stamp set is one of my new favorites from the catalog called “From My Heart” on page 139 of the new SU! catalog:

If you missed the open house, contact me to Join a Club or schedule a party and get a new catalog FREE! And just for fun, here is the link to the “I Spy Catalog Scavenger Hunt” you can print off and play as you discover creative treasures in the fabulous new Stampin’ Up! Catalog!

And congratulations to HEATHER ASH who won the Scavenger Hunt drawing and the “Bright Blossoms” stamp set!!!
