Seriously, what are you WAITING for? This is better than a presidential invitation!
We interrupt this blog to bring you a Public Service Announcement: The dangers of missing another month of My Paper Pumpkin are very serious, folks! Do NOT let this happen to you or someone you love:
To assist you in preventing loss of income, health or happiness, Stampin’ Up! has offered to let you receive your first two months at 50% off (new subscriptions only) when you subscribe by September 10th…just enter code HALFOFF2 when you subscribe.
I was pretty excited about the February Paper Pumpkin kit! Since I needed a bag for a thank you gift, I pulled it out and played with it today.
As I was assembling the letters to say “THANKS”, I realized that the piece of paper they came on was a perfect polka dot template:
You do need to flip it around to get each corner, but it worked perfectly with a little sponging. I guess you could use the Pistachio Pudding ink spot that came with the kit to do this, too, but I didn’t think of it until afterward.
Since it was a flower-themed gift, I just punched out a few flowers with the Fancy Flower punch (item #118073) for the letters and everything else was in the kit!
The lighting seems a little weird today, so apologies for that, but I think you get the idea 🙂
Here’s a look at the February Kit (unless you just signed up for Paper Pumpkin, in which case you received the Welcome Kit):
When you are a NEW subscriber to My Paper Pumpkin before February 10, 2014, you’ll get a set of 2012-14 In-Color Markers FREE (a $14.95 value!). Not only that, but ALL FUTURE SUBSCRIPTIONS are twice as cool as ever before! Trust me…I got a sneak peek at Leadership and I loved them so much, I’ve changed my subscription to 2 boxes every month 🙂
When you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin, the first kit you get is the welcome kit which makes the following cards, but Paper Pumpkin could be anything: banners, mini-albums, bags/tags, etc. Here are 5 Ways to get the most out of your kit:
1. Think outside the box: Turn your card sideways, play with the pieces, don’t follow the instructions! You’ll find hundreds of samples online, but here are mine:
3. Use the pieces for a scrapbook page layout as Rachel Tessman did here:
4. Use up the scraps! No naked envelopes! Just follow this great tip from Julie Davison:

Seriously, it’s a fabulous chance to give yourself (or a friend) 30 minutes of creative fun and it comes with everything you need to get started except scissors and adhesive. I’m pretty sure that  you have scissors lying around your house somewhere, so let me make this a NO BRAINER decision and tell you that anyone who signs up for My Paper Pumpkin (yes, just click those words or the image above and they’ll take you to the magic kingdom to sign up…) with me before August 31 (make sure to enter the code PUMPKINDEAL when checking out), will receive a Stampin’ Up! You’re still here? If you have questions, let’s see if this FAQ answers them.
My sweet friend Carolyn from Canada and her talented daughter Jenna created this fun commercial (and took 4th place in the SU! Commercial Contest at convention for it!). It pretty much sums up how I feel when I get My Paper Pumpkin kit in the mail each month!!
Pop Quiz! Yes or No…have you ever thought to yourself:
If you answered YES to any of those questions, read on Friend!
I’ve been enjoying My Paper Pumpkin, the new “Kit of the Month” program for people who have had the thoughts above…so let’s quickly dispel any negative vibes by comforting the fore-mentioned concerns:
This was the card designed for April’s kit that I just got in the mail last week:
Everything is cut and prepared for you to use…the only things you need to add are scissors (surely you have those laying around somewhere!) and adhesive (I prefer SNAIL from Stampin’ Up!).
Once you are done creating, you could find a box to store your stamps in, but if you subscribe through me, I’ll happily send you a case for your storage as a THANK YOU gift :
And before I forget: Did I mention that you can cancel your membership at any time? Or even just put your order on hold for a month? My Paper Pumpkin is as flexible as you are! Just make sure that you change your subscription before the 10th of the month. You could even ADD a kit one month to give as a gift (or two, or three…)
For more information or to give it a whirl, CLICK HERE. And if you are looking for a gift that “keeps on giving”, why not try it for a mom, sister, daughter, husband or friend? Chances are, they’ll love it too!
The thing that makes me the most giddy in this kit is that little rotary stamp!! I’m using my kit to capture the thrill of Stampin’ Up! Convention in July, but I’d love to hear what you are going to do with yours…
Speaking of limited time, the Sent with Love bundle is going to be flying away at the end of the month, too. These are just a few of the cards you could create with the bundle, but you can purchase the stamps and paper separately, should you want to stock up for future creations:
But wait, there’s more! You may have heard about the “gift that keeps on giving”, but Stampin’ Up! really has it with My Paper Pumpkin…
Guys…don’t just give ONE gift to your gal for mother’s day or her birthday: Subscribe for a whole year at My Paper Pumpkin and be sure to select Loni Spendlove as your demonstrator!
Just want to give My Paper Pumpkin a try or give one kit as a gift? Choose the “Try It” Kit that you can add to any order (item 132600) OR you can sign up and cancel at any time.
